The USB issues and freezing on the 3rd replacement could have been from uneven mounting pressure because you held it down with your hand instead of screwing it down.

If I paid for new, I wouldn't accept a used product in return.
@Violet-ui52 минут бұрын
When buying from a retailer, absolutely. When you send it to the manufacturer for a warranty case however, you don't have the right to get a new one. You can hope for a new one, but all they have to give you is a working one in similar condition. So them giving you a used but refurbished/like new replacement is perfectly fine. Of course it has to be fully functional though.

If you have an Asus z790 ProArt Creator board, and use the first 2 M.2 slots, do you lose any speed? Have a RTX 4090 in first PCIe slot., Using 14900KF processor

you see the issue here is you had all these issues and instead of going gigabyte or msi or evga u went back to asus part of the problum is ur loyalty. When u bought the new board u should have not picked another asus board

furthermore people should not have to film their unboxing of products just to prove that they have been sold something as new that clearly is secondhand and in a lot of cases not even working.

I've never been a fan of asus. I've had my issues with them in the past and never bought from them again. I won't let a company burn me twice. I moved on from that company and put my money else where. Msi has treated me very well over the years and the one evga z170 ftw board has treated me well also. And while I don't use that board anymore I still have it and it still works. I've been using msi since my i5 2400 days. That board still works also. Not one problem with them. Currently on a z790 msi tomahawk for my 13700k for well over a year now and no issues. Even have my 13700k oc to 5.6ghz on all 8 p cores, All 8 E core oc to 4.4ghz, Ring oc to 5.0ghz at 1.34v. And my 32g.b Corsair rgb vengeance ddr5 6400 cl32 hynix A-Die oc to 7200 34-41-41-83 at 1.45v. Have all 4 nvme drive populated with all 4 gen 4 drives and 1 sata ssd and using a msi 4090 gaming trio at full x16 speeds. It's been a home run of a board "and a lot better than my z490 which ill explain later in this post". Plus its pcie gen 5 for next gen gpu's so I'm in no rush to upgrade platforms atm. But Msi isn't perfect either. The z490 bios update issues is still out there and people are still getting bricked boards from doing bios updates. MSI has never fixed it or addressed it even thought the msi forums have hundreds if not thousands of confirmed reports of failure. I tried telling gamer nexus about it over a year ago if not 2 year ago on one of his videos and it went no where unfortunately. Comment was buried by the other thousands of comments. I haven't updated my bios on my z490 tomahawk due to that issue. No bios flashback if things go south and msi isn't warranty a lot of peoples boards so you have to buy a bios programmer on ebay to fix it your self. A lot of people on the msi forums have done it and a few have even made a how-to. Yes z490 is getting up there in age for tech but this issue has been going on for years now back when z490 was newer. It's not enough of a reason for me to jump ship on msi being that z490 and 10700k still works to this day and my wife uses it. But being I can't update the bios due to a potential bricking of a board does suck. But every company has their issues. No company is perfect.

one of the really informative parts of the Gamers Nexus video (I think the part 2 video but may be wrong on that) was the comment from one of the lawyers being interviewed who said that once I think they said the US Government get 100 formal complaints along these lines they can then take formal action and start forcing a change so I would encourage everyone to also watch the GN video because I can't remember exactly what the procedure is and what the outcome can end up being if enough people jump onboard with entering a proper complaint because we all want change for the better. For me this is not about wanting to damage a business/brand that I too have come to love over the years. I do not want to see ASUS taken out of the game I want to see them here into the future and continue producing fantastic products but this is only going to be the case if they stop screwing their customers. Their behaviour is totally unacceptable from a company whose stature should mean that things like this should never EVER happen in the first place. They need to be held to account for this.

the strix version is not worth it, i have the asus tuf oc ti super and manage +210 on the core and +2000 on the memory. Like that it runs stable in all games and i get about 25700 graphics points in timespy. it manages to grt about 49.2 tflops then.
@mrfawkes91105 сағат бұрын
There's absolutely something wrong, you were dumb enough to buy an Asus product and then expect support. They haven't supported their products is nearly 15 years and haven't been worth buying for just as long.

It's particularly sad because when I was in highschool they were the best on the market, and that was only 20 years ago. They went from top of the stack to bottom in just over 5 years.

Advanced RMA just means you don't have to send back the broken one before they send a replacement. The service itself isn't better. I also have no idea why you'd buy another ASUS board after all of this 😂

This is nothing new. I bought 3 separate Asus X570i mobos, all listed as new, that all had bent pins, stripped screws, thermal paste residue or just broken accent pieces. I ended up ordering one from B&H and had good luck.

It's pretty normal to get a refurbished or repaired product when doing an RMA. But, that said, the replacements should always be fully functional and in good physical condition. Disappointing performance from ASUS.

If they were repairing/replacing capacitors, why was the socket even exposed and not covered/protected by the socket clamp and cap?

With Windows PCs the life is a endless stress. Buy a Mac and you will have 0 issues. No Bios issues, no drivers issues, no compatibility between hardware issues…With a Mac you will spend you time creating. With a Windows PC you will spend most of your time finding solutions for endless issues.

@sxaccess20118 сағат бұрын
I don't have the time or patience for companies that conduct themselves dishonorably like this. They immediately get added to my "Supreme Advanced RMA program". You buy a brand new item from them (in or out of warranty), do a serial # swap, and send the defective item back to them in the newly received packaging. Problem solved, drama-free. You conduct yourself dishonorably, you forfeit your right to be treated honorably in return, and will unapologetically be dealt with as I see fit to accomplish my desired outcome ASAP, to correct the problem of your garbage product failing (in or out of your warranty period which has been automatically converted into a LIFETIME warranty due to your dishonorable business practices). End of discussion. P.S. Was fully aware of the GN nonsense as well.

Question. If you have a push/pull radiator config, so 3 fans exhausting on bottom, and 3 pulling air on top, do those still count as 6 fans or 3 towards negative / positive pressure. I have 5 intakes and 7 to exhaust but not sure if that makes it negative air pressure or not still since 6 of those fans are on my 360 rad up top. Thanks for the good information.
