Hey man, I just wish you mentioned to people that when you drained from the top element orifice, all that water soaked the insulation and most likely the terminals at the lower element. 80% of the time, it's the lower element and if you have that much build up you will just keep replacing them. Not to mention the danger of shock and mold from moisture.😂

It's the Exhaust manifold, , can't keep water out without pulling the pipe and covering the tin work. It will fill the 2nd cylinder with water . I have the crank for it and use it if I leave it outside for a while in the rain just to make sure it won't water lock before I hit the key . 10-30 to 30 . That's the best part about these old machines They don't care . Don't be worried about feeling a chunk of metal in the drain plug whole if when you pull the plug and it looks blocked. It the plug that goes in the end of the oil pickup screen . Quick fix just pull the pan bolts . My pan had a small leak so I killed 2 birds that day .

What HP do they recommend for that haybine? I have been looking at one for my four acres. I only have a 30hp tractor. Ya think that would make it wor or would it be angry lol
@frontwoodsfarmer2063

I’d assume 40hp is very low end you’d need for a 9’ but if you look for a 7’ you could probably get away with 30

The problem with the 45-70 and dangerous game is the outside of handloads and may be a few custom manufacturers like buffalo bore. You can’t find solid rounds. Expanding bullets are fine for smaller game like hogs/deer/etc but when you want to hunt real dangerous game like they have over in Africa, you want a non-expanding bullet. You might be able to find some thing from Lehigh defense or Underwood as well, but you’re going to pay dearly. But it would really be nice to be able to get stuff from the regular big-time manufacturers like federal and Hornady.

I was never aware that they did this until recently and I had to see if there were any videos of it... did not see your full description at first but wondered "Is he from Pittsburgh?" :-D Very interesting. I wonder if I have ever heard this and just assumed it was some sort of bird? I never would have guessed that was a baby deer.

@@frontwoodsfarmer2063 Grew in 31st ward which is apparantly as south as you can be and still be in the city of Pittsburgh. And it's funny how as much as all the t-shirts and stickers try to make yinzer speak cool, the things that give us away to each other are a lot more subtle. My kids make fun of me for saying "mum." But it seems to be a curiously swpa thing to say mum. That's what caught my ear. I don't know how far that reaches. My own "mum" came from westmoreland country - there's a bit of a range to the dialect I was raised on.

Wow & thank you. I heard of other people breaking things doing this. I an glad someone finally shows the right way to do this, and I can see why others had trouble. I replaced my old layered belt with a Drive belt with clips & pin. I also added some heat shrink with glue on the clips to stop the annoying click click click of the pins as they hit the metal pulley Wish I had seen this sooner.

I upgraded to a BXA tool post holder a few years ago for my Logan 10". It sure is nice to just drop a cutter in and have it dead on. The size is AXA for under 10", BXA for 10" to 15" and CXA for the even bigger lathes. The BXA 250-201 is the holder I use the most, with a couple of BXA 250-201T that will hold up to 3/4" tool. I bought my 250-201 holders years ago in a 4 pack for about $30, but even today at a price of about $14 ea. on Ebay I doubt if I would take the time to make one.

Have the friend lay a piece of fine sandpaper on a flat surface, like a table or piece of glass. Place key on the sandpaper and with a couple of fingers sand down just enough to work in the lock. Brass is soft and shouldn't take long.

Hi. Thanks for responding. I replaced both heating elements. It did not heat. Then I reset the red button and it immediately started working. I'm amazed that it was still working with the heating elements so caked with mineral deposits. But maybe that's why it triggered it and it stopped heating. So now I have hot water. I just need to replace the anode tube, which I'm sure will be much more difficult.

The mother will come back if she hasn't encountered a predator. Yes, the mothers will leave for several hours at a time to forage for food, etc. The mother leaves her fawn in a safe place because fawns do not yet have a scent to attract predators and fawns usually stay put until its mother comes back. It's safer to leave her fawn

looking to move my existing tank. Relocating fill and vent pipes. Question? I will have to shorten my copper tubing to burner. I will cut and flare. when I reconnect the tubing, do I have to bleed the feed at the burner or should I be good by just disconnecting and reconnecting?
