I imagine you try to balance when to use focus strikes based on how much you want a particularly strong monster part to stay vulnerable with the wound. If it's a weak point already, then you can focus strike as soon as you are able, but something like the Doshaguma's hind legs benefit from having a weakspot for a longer amount of time.

Genuine question cause I’m switching to bow for wilds, how do you make the stamina where it does not deplete at all? Is that a skill or buff?

I wonder if there will only be in the field canteen items forcing us to use the canteen in the field. Did it look like the canteen had rng skill proc still? I hope there is less rng on this stuff if capcom is going to be anti mods.

I have a question. Portable camps. Will they allow you to infinitely restock or not? This feature has a huge impact on balance.

I really like the Lance here, but the only thing I think the lance is missing is the option to Shield Bash when doing the Dash Attack. Same way the Lance was able to Shield Bash in Rise/Sunbreak when it was doing the Shield Charge

I've noticed several people made the same mistake regarding the bowgun ammo, but from what I can tell, each bowgun has three ammo types that are innate. What that means is that those ammo are infinite. There's nothing special about this ammo beyond being infinite, including being stronger or weaker. I think Gen did this too? Maybe it was a different MH, but one of the previous games had this feature, and while it's true that the ammo was usually not the best available to the bowgun, it was often something decent. Like a bowgun that had 3 different elemental shots as infinite, but it had better magazine size with a particular status type, or a bowgun good with pierce 3 having infinite pierce 2 ammo. It was basically a way to carry more types of ammo beyond what the ammo pouch could hold, or as a good backup, depending on the bowgun. I imagine it'll be the same here as well, though the details may change. The ammo itself isn't different, but often either a nice alternative or a solid backup.

I cant wait to switch weapons mid hunt to account for the behavior of monsters and elder dragons in their nests! I imagine cases like frostcraft on SnS and GS, or stamina boosting sets for DB and Bow being really complimentary!

I love the ammo/coating change for the ranged weapons. Im not a range user cuz i hated having to craft/go back to camp for all ammo/coatings. Also i wonder if our palico can only use a female english voice or is there a male voice? So far ive only heard a female voice for the palico

Hi Darcblade, I’m trying follow you guide for the element build for lance, I’m trying figure what you did with the weapons, what mods you added to it? At moment I have Kjárr crease decay upgraded and trying to get the build to similar stats you got, so what do I need to do for the weapons as that’s only thing I’m not clear on. Also the Kjárr king has single gem slot will the decay doesn’t appear to have one so how do I get the three levels of health boost?

For the lance a lot of changes are completly missed for a lot of people. Lietterally everything in the Lance showcase (with the exception of the charge into jump attack at the end) was either heavily changed or completly new: ->2 Block animations at the beginning has blue glow (perfect guard) and cirlce motion. Basically we got insta block, but the follow up attack wasnt shown -> you can repsition while poking without reseting your combo (really important for the next change). -> there is a new triple poke combo finisher. -> Perfect guard into Shield attack . Has blue glow (meaning perfect guard). But not the same start up animation as insta block, so this isnt our new insta block -> powerguard counter has a way better animation now and a second follow up that leads into the charge attack. One counter is now for vertical hits and the other for horizontal/repositioning. +the charge gets an instant speed boost -> you dont use counter thrust to get into power guard anymore. You go to Power guard directly -> Focus mode attack looks similar to shield charge from sunbreak with the lance finisher. The Lance part is a multi hit and it only costs wounds that are actually hit -> !!!!!!!!!! normally with counter thrust the shield would be raised all the time but it only blocks at the las moment. But that is the charge up you would normally see on charged counter thrust. So they might have combined counter thrust with insta block. (basically a chargable multi hit thrust attack that can parry an icmomming attack mid charge)!!!!!!!! a lot of people seem to miss this (also has blue glow/perfect guard) -> and the clash was shown that every weapon with a block can do now

I hope the new Bow mechanics doesn't end up fucking up the online multiplayer. I can imagine tons of new players relying heavily on the homing tracer and end up being dogshit at everything else.

Focus strikes will most likely always work but the monster having the wounds will probably just increase the damage. Im a hammer and sns main and im just happy they kept "Keeping Sway" around for hammer. That being said the Lance oddly enough got my interest, it feel brutal and meaty and i like the shield bashing. Honestly everything is looking great

I was excited for hammer but when i saw it i wasnt impressed, however swagaxe, bow and gunlance looks amazing!

This game and these weapon per day trailers where such a missed opportunity for a new weapon, I get some people are fine not having a new weapon but after putting in like 4000 hours in world borne and this fame being closer to said gane it wouldve been really nice to have a new weapon to try out

Being an insect glaive main in world I can tell you with confidence your score is fair and valid xD; Looking at switching mains for wilds because I feel like the trailer for IG left something to be desired for me personally.

The bowguns hunting horn, and dual blades look very promising, those are the ones that stood out to me the most, outside of that lance looks more comfy, and sns looks more mobile in its primary slashing combo as well, so as an sns main im super excited about that

I beat it on the first try and several more times to build its armor. Honestly not a fun fight. It feels like whoever designed the fight just gave up on creativity and decided to just make screen filling attacks in a bid to be "interesting."

For speedrunning frostcraft is almost always the optimal choice for SnS. It just pairs extremely well with perfect rush. The damage is stupid high. I tend not to use it unless I'm speedrunning though. If I'm just playing casually I just run the normal 4 piece fatalis with kulve legs.

And now begins the wait for a Frostcraft Dual Blades build, I hope we get one from you someday. Crown hunting keeps me playing this game years and years, new game after new game. Sadly I'm just not creative enough for my own builds, lol.
