The double swipe was gorgeous and the tilting of it was brilliant! Will have to try the mini blower down the middle on one of mine.

Love between consenting adults should always be celebrated. Kindness should be embraced. Hatred should not be glorified. Every year, Pride Month upsets me because we as a planet should ]be focused on celebrating love. I'm so disgusted that the world is not championing for LGBTQ+ rights activism. You didn't bring me to tears this year. If I'm still so badly shaken - daily - by what you said during your 2023 collab piece and I'm just an ally, I can't imagine living on the other side of the allied forces. I'm glad that artists keep doing what you're doing, and reminding people that we celebrate the fighters as well as the lovers. Lvoe to you and yours, Jan. Because "love is love no matter how you spell it."

You need to go bigger my friend 😊
@JanCArtАй бұрын
Haha, I hadn’t seen this when I wrote in my response to you that I’m excited to go bigger! 🤣. I had to try on a smaller canvas first, cause I wanted to be sure I got the right effect with the DecoArt Metallics Obdidian. Tara uses the extreme sheen obsidian, and I only have small bottles of that. But the metallics works the same I found out. So yes, time to go bigger.

This turned out really cool! Love the addition of the crackle ground. I love that the obsidian metallics work as well as the extreme sheen. Thanks for the tip! Also, thanks so much for the shout out! Can’t wait to see the larger version! ❤️❤️

Thanks so much Tara! Yes, it’s great that the metallics obsidian works as well. Cause those tiny extreme sheen bottles! I’ll def. let you know when I’m going bigger.

That's really cool! I've never used crackle paste and wonder if you can add tube paint or flow acrylic to it before you apply it.
@JanCArtАй бұрын
I haven’t tried, but it’s worth a try, cause it would be easier to work with after, if it already has the color you intended. I guess if it’s possible to get a colorless paste, it should be possible. The ones I’ve tried so far are white, so I’d expect them to lighten the paint you add.

Wonderful videos! I just found you this evening. Which Epodex product are you using? On the US website, they have Art and Crafting Epoxy and they also have Coating and Sealing Epoxy. I'm confused which one you used. (I think it's the Sealing/Coating one) Thank you for your help!
@JanCArtАй бұрын
Thank you so much. I have used ArtResin before, but in this video I’m using a German Resin, as described in my description: The German Resin I got is called Epodex Eco. I am really happy with the results. And it is extremely easy to work with. And it is cheaper for me because I don't have to import it.

Great video. Which Minwax pre stain do you use…water or oil based? Some swear by the water one while others say the oil is needed to make the cells. Then some say the “red can” but they are both red lol. Thanks!
@JanCArt2 ай бұрын
Thank you! Mine is the red one 😂 oil based. I must admit that since I made this video I only used the min wax pre-stain a few times because I started relying on the Australian Floetrol Or Amsterdam pouring medium for making cells. To me it’s a much easier mix to work with. But the answer is: mine is oil based.
