He is called Baldwin IV and was the king of the Kingdom of Jerusalem from 1174 - 1185. He is remembered as a great leader because he was able to defend the kingdom from Saladin, who tried to conquer it and who had a much bigger army. He sadly had a short life because he had leprosy, but that didn't stop him from defending his kingdom and even going to battles with his army. The movie you mean is called "Kingdom of Heaven". I recommend watching a documentary if you want to learn more about him, as movies in general often times tend to be historically inaccurate by some degree. I really enjoyed watching the movie though.

I remember this film as a kid, first real introduction into pure dystopian fiction, with the added twist of gun fu (and the “Sean Bean dying in movies” trope). Excellent choice.
