Surely there has to be brush settings and layer qualities that can be set up to better simulate painting on a wet white-washed canvas?

The problem with digital art is it's so precise, everything comes out looking like a cartoon or anime. Don't get me wrong, there has been some great digital artworks, it's just a different medium, like pastels are different.

what temperature would you say is too hot to take them out? i’m from nyc and would like to take my frenchie to the beach but i’m worried it will be too hot even with cooling gear and water. would love your opinion! 🫶🏾

Hi, Do Frenchies allow you to trim their claws? I had a dog that had to be anesthetized to get his claws clipped. Found out later that his breed is known for that.

Several of his paintings showed up on a recent Antiques Roadshow from Alaska (where he got his start). They were appraised for around $15,000 each, I think. I mean, it’s hotel room art, but who wouldn’t want a Bob Ross original?! 😂

Are traditional arts useful for visual development in animations? Hello! You don't know me and you probably won't even see this message. But I'm a Visual Arts student who started to be interested in Visual Development and would like to have a chance to work in this area. The problem is that I only work with traditional arts... With collections, crayons and paints, you know? Do you think there is still room for this in the animation development market? I started this message with a question just to get your attention and I hope to achieve that. If you see this message, I am very grateful for your help 🥺❤️

Not as easy as it looks. Even at the beginning, of the painting, there isn't the blending, with the computer, you get with a brush.

Kind of feels sacrilegious to do a Bob Ross painting digitally. Part of the aesthetic is the brush, the paint, the whole physical nature of it all. Bob was ASMR before there was ASMR. That aside, I absolutely love “beating the devil” out of the monitor. Very nice reproduction in the end, just a different medium.

Hey Laura!! I adore your videos and have watched them for years. I just got accepted into an animation school in Canada (I live in the uk) and I’m wondering what are your thoughts on pursuing animation at this time? I keep hearing that it’s gone downhill in terms of finding work/ short contracts and more risky than ever. Is it really this bad atm? Is it better to peruse a more stable career in psychology over here in the uk with art on the side, or should I pursue my dream? Just want to get a professional pov. Now I’ll go rewatch/study your speedpaints haha

Yuck. It looks like something out of a catalog, not something lived in. Cost Plus on steroids. You're like our next-door neighbor who has turned his version of our early 80's redwood modern into generic suburban blah. It's going to look super old-fashioned about five years from now. Funny, I remember a cool designer in LA in the 90's who had a French Bulldog and barely anyone had ever heard of the breed--now they're 10 a penny. But your poor dogs, no actual dirt to dig in or snuffle around in--they don't know they're designer animals.

That’s really amazing! I thought I was doing good just creating a few of those with oils back in the day, but what you achieved was amazing. I never would have thought you could duplicate the wet on wet technique digitally. Great job!

That small chuckle when you both paint in the first trees. Bob Ross is a gem to me because he is so calm and collected and focuses on the joy of creation rather than focusing on what he paints.

The word ARTIST and DISNEY have no connection at all ever since the 1990s. More like DISNEY and METH ADDICTS. But I am glad to hear you are actually trying to draw for real. But then again you are using a computer to render what Bob is doing, which is cheating. Go back to the Disney meth lab.

Every time I see Bob I can’t help but to try and see him as a member of the special forces in our military and I never can! I watched a video about the unfortunate and stressful situation that Bob had when he started a business contract with a couple named the Kowalskis. to formBob Ross Inc. All the couple cared about was merchandise and profit. Poor Bob died from cancer. As per their original agreement if he died the money would go to the other owners not Bob’s family.

Well remember this was Bob's third time through. He would paint one as a test. A second as his guide which he kept out of camera range and then basically do this one. So at every point on tv he knew exactly what the next step was to be and how the final product would end up

I would like to know why all the satanic symbolism is accepted and thrown in our faces in movies and childrens movies and cartoons. How many all-seeing eyes do we need to see, etc. If I was an artist and asked to draw up molek, baale, ashtar, dagon false liitle fallen angel worship. I'd say no way you can stick this job where the sun doesn't shine. But Hellywood just can't help itself now can it. Even in children's cartoons. All will be held responsible. All witchcraft, curses and spells will be prayed away as well in Jesus name, amen.
