When we debate about the greatest. His name is never called. Jack Johnson Jack Dempsey Joe Louis Muhammed Ali. But there is an argument to say he was thw greatest. He was undefeated and none of his victories were ever in controversial. He never ran from anyone.

Then ALI wanted to hype his fight and like most of his fights he used racism. He did it Frazier , Wepner and Foreman.

The two of the greatest heavyweights who should automatically command respect, the new heavyweights pale in comparison to those two. I mean would Tyson Fury last a round or two against either of these greats ? Along with Ken Norton and also Big George Forman

Let me explain why Joe Frazier is the absolute greatest. Born to sharecropper parents in the South, his family barely scraped by. As a child, Joe was mauled by a giant hog, severely injuring his right arm. With no money for a doctor, his parents did what they could, but Joe was left unable to straighten his left arm. Despite these challenges, Joe defied the odds, He made the American Olympic team, and won a gold medal.Early in his professional career, an accident in the gym left him legally blind in his right eye. Most people would have called it quits, but not Joe. He fought through it and became the world champion. In today's world, Joe Frazier would’ve been written off. Even though he was a bit before my time, I’ve always respected him. He wasn’t just a boxer; he was a fighter in every sense of the word.

Ali would not have had to FIGHT in the Vietnam war. This is another piece of lying media garbage. He would have been assigned , like Elvis , Joe Louis and many other celebrities an opportunity to just wear the uniform to show pride in America. He never would have fought anyone. Stick your lying narrative where the sun doesn’t shine.

This is not completely true, Ali, befriend Joe Fraiser, just to get him to agree to give him a fight because he was broke, and Joe Fraiser, being was to kind to notice what was going on, because he was a fan of Ali.... I don't know how anyone would think they were really friends, there was nothing RIGHTEOUS about calling a black man a gorilla, around the time racism white men called our people monkeys... Ali, wasn't RIGHTEOUS, he was WICKED

Rocky Marciano may of been the GOAT of his own era but that’s about it, he’d die to any modern fighter and most fighters past and during the Ali era. Anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional. Truth is Rocky Marciano was lucky to fight in his era with small heavyweights, however he and many other fighters from that era wouldn’t even be able to enter the heavyweight division today, they’d be cruiser weights. Not only that but he’s not tall enough anyways, unless he adapted a style like Mike Tyson’s then he’s done and if he did that he’s not really Rocky anymore because Tyson’s style included fundamentals that Rocky lacked. The reason that Rocky would need to adapt that style is because his main style of fighting was just brute force and strength, which wouldn’t work against modern day fighters at all as every single one of them would hit harder then him. He had an amazing physique for the time he fought in but today he just wouldn’t do it. He just lacked reach, weight, height, skill, power, almost everything that new heavyweights have.

@@Outerflick No friend, that is not what most boxing experts think about Marciano. What experts know is that Rocky carried tons of heart, chin, stamina and power, and that's combination that is hard to beat. There is nothing obvious about how Rocky would do today. Did not Usyk just beat huge Fury? Size is not everything. I knew Usyk would win, he is a good fighter, Fury is only big and it's not enough.

Marciano was so awkward and yet so dominant because of his God given power. 49-0 with 43 KOs. I watched several Of his fights today and his knockouts were brutal. Knocked a bunch of guys literally out of the ring and Jersey Joe looked like he was dead when he fell on his head in the first fight.

Ali was very wise. The only way he could get Frazier to really fight hard was to insult him. Deep down inside, Ali meant no harm. I don't think Frazier understood what Ali was doing up to that point. It worked. They had three fights, and each fight Frazier tried to rip Ali's head off, which only brought the best out in Ali.

He was sallow-skinned, fat, and had a nasty boil on his neck.* Harry Matthews 90 wins 7 losses is a good B-LEVEL resume until you see *he was a career middleweight moonlighting at light heavyweight.* Matthews weighed 130 lbs vs. Joey Parks who also weighed 130. *Shouldn't one have to beat credible Heavyweight opponents to be respected as a legitimate Heavyweight?* Roland LaStarza *C-LEVEL.* LaStarza Refused fights with Charles, Moore, Walcott, Louis, Valdez, Satterfield, Bivins, Maxim, Henry, Baker, Johnson, Pompey, Marshall, Smith, Sheppard etc. In an article in RING magazine after his career LaStarza admitted as much! Rex Layne *C-LEVEL.* LaStarza vs. Layne reminds me of watching two midwest club fighters fighting a 4 rounder on an old ESPN card from Muncie, In. Two guys who were not well schooled, standing in front of each other acting like they were insulted if the other guy missed them with a punch. A lot of right hand leads, a lot of jabs with the rear foot leaving the canvas, little/no counter punching, just two guys willing to get hit but showing little boxing skill. Look how bad Rex Layne swings and misses. What an oaf. Joe Walcott *C-LEVEL.* Walcott's losses is what elevated his status and built up his credentials, not his wins!!! The fact that Walcott was granted (6) title attempts in a (5) year span speaks volumes about how weak the Heavyweight division was at this time!!! And (4) of these title opportunities came immediately after a Walcott loss!!! Archie Moore *A-LEVEL* MW/LH and *C-LEVEL* HW. Heck, Low Power 171/173 lb Charles beat him 3 times, 182 lb Patterson obliterated him, and 188 lb Tiny Cruiser Marciano smashed him. Every time Moore Stepped-Up in competition he got KO'D. Ezzard Charles *A-LEVEL* LH and *C-LEVEL* HW. William Dettloff’s biography *'Ezzard Charles: A Boxing Life'* documents that Charles first felt weakness in his limbs, and some numbness, as early as 1951. This was 3 years before the Marciano fights, and it was also the same year he lost his title. Ezzard, his family, Ezzard's trainer's Ray Arcel, Jimmy Brown, Chickie Ferrera and Bill Gore all said they noticed signs of ALS in 1951. Bert Sugar said, *"His trainer, Ray Arcel said, that even now, at this stage in 51, and then on into the middle 50's, you could see the beginning, the traces of the disease, that would later claim his life, Lou Gehrig's disease in Charles."* --@ 35:01 ESPN Ringside - Rocky Marciano

@@Stout_Krout_blackdavidfrost why would I Lie? I read that in his autobiography Unbeaten written by Pulitzer prize winning author Mike Stanton. Talks all about Rocky's demons and difficulties he faced when he was fighting. I don't know why people like u go so much out of their way to discredit Rocky and make him seem like he was a nobody when he was an amazing fighter. Not the best of all time but certainly one of the best. I don't understand how anyone that knows anything about the actual mechanics of boxing couldn't admit Rocky was extraordinary. His story is inspiring. That's what it's all about. Letting people know that hey u too can do amazing things too if u work hard enough at it. U can pick anybody apart if u look hard enough. Ali has even given Rocky his respect and Ali didn't give that lightly.
