I found this fan review for anyone wondering what happened to Whitney during IWALY 😢: Already quite obviously emotional, Whitney's attempt to perform "I Will Always Love You" was met with her own tears. It was here that Whitney's emotional state was no longer disguised - or that she wasn't denying the tears. She was clearly crying and, in what seemed to me to be attempts to regain her composure for the song, Whitney thanked the band and the crew and her security for their dedication to her, many of them receiving heartfelt embraces. Still unable to finish "I Will Always Love You", Whitney's brother Gary comforted his sister, tears in his eyes at this point as well. Finally, a tearful Cissy Houston took the stage and held her daughter as she completed the song for her. Whitney left the stage. Apparently Whitney filed for separation from Bobby a few days before the tour started, could explain why she ended up breaking down onstage 🥺

To all the so-called fans who criticised her for her performances, all I can say is shame on you! She gave it everything she had yet some people just cannot be pleased. You can’t expect her voice to be what it was when she first came out that’s unrealistic. Yes she didn’t make the best lifestyle choices, but nobody is perfect. At least she didn’t lip sync or use autotune on her voice which most artists do today. I’d love to see the criticising fans come out and do what she did. Okay, her voice wasn’t in the best of health. But you could’ve been watching her lip sync to a pre-recorded track but that’s not her style. She sung live and gave it all she’d got. RIP Whitney,
