I watched a documentary where they said in medieval times it was perfectly possible that the cloth was dipped in chemicals then wrapped in a person and then they would lie in it for a few hours to create a long exposure. They recreated it in the documentary.

Dr Lennox claims his god exists, then when no one can prove that his god does not exist, (because no one can prove a negative) he claims a victory. The man has spent a lifetime telling people what they want to hear and pulling the wool over gullible people's eyes. His shtick is telling why other people are wrong and never why he is right, he is like a creationist telling us why evolution is wrong and never telling us why creationism is right. It is why for some Lennox is the greatest but for others he is a fraud.

I would say it can happen either way. To understand the federalist papers you must first understand the context of the time period. When the founding fathers refer to “democracy” they are referring to “direct democracy” or an Athens styled government. They chose a representative democracy or a republican styled government based on the old Roman republic instead. In modern terms all republics are democracies and we people refer to a democracy they usually refer to a republican styled government as almost all democracies are a republican/parliamentary styled government nowadays.

Then you know of very few. The US was pretty much the only republic at the time of its founding with democratic institutions. Every other one was essentially an oligarchy of the nobility, a prime example being Venice.

Okay, I have been struggling with this subject. Me and my family are Christian’s. I don’t have a single interest in witchcraft, I hate witchcraft, like anything to do with it makes me really uncomfortable and makes me scared because it should. But I don’t feel like that at all with Harry Potter. I am the BIGGEST potter nerd and so is my dad, he started reading them around the time the fourth one came out, but my pastors and their children really don’t like Harry Potter. Like when I told one of them I was saving up for a big $470 lego set and they asked me, “what is it?” I said the hogwarts castle and he kind of gasped and looked at me like this 🫢 and I heard him whisper into the younger ones ear something about Harry Potter and he gasped, and one time in March me and my dad where going to a Harry Potter live in concert thing where they play the music from the movie live while the movie is playing, and me and my dad where going that Sunday right after church. I mentioned the name Harry Potter and he immediately interrupted me and said Harry Potter is bad, he is a witch, and I’ve kind of been worried if I had been consuming content that has been exposing me to witchcraft. A lot of these videos say that it is fine if it isn’t tempting you but people keep on going in comments and there where people saying that when they read it they feel a evil presence around them in different parts of the story and other stuff that made me worried but watching this video made me sure that I can watch it without being tempted or something.
