hi Caplagos. wow! a whole fleet coming. great idea. are you adding a cruiser? i would suggest the Flyhawk CG63 Cowpens. i don’t know which fleet it’s in but i know there’s always a Ticonderoga class accompanying an aircraft carrier. In my Enterprise mini hobby model box illustration you can see there’s a Ticonderoga class. I have build the CG47 from mini hobby model and it’s a low quality kit but the flyhawk version seems good. just released not long ago. your Arleigh Burke will go nicely with Big E. enjoy the build and take care!
@CapLAGOS4 күн бұрын
Hi Modelar, I’m not entirely sure if the whole fleet was deployed together, but I do know that at least a few escort ships were involved. I’ve also been eyeing the Cowpens from Flyhawk-it’s definitely tempting! As for whether these ships actually served alongside the Enterprise, I can’t say for certain. But I can tell you that building them has been incredibly fun. In fact, I often find myself getting up early just to get some extra time in on the project. :)

@modelar7054 күн бұрын
the Pontos PE set is crazy. i have seen that build by someone. you probably just need the hull from the trumpeter kit and the rest will be all PE 😅. it’s good for people who enjoy PE. but if you’re a plastic kit person tetra is just nice to add details. and the Pontos price i will faint 🤣

@@modelar705 "Fainting is definitely the right word, and the patience needed for PE parts can't be underestimated either! 😅 I certainly don't use all of them. From what I can tell, the Tetra set is more than enough since the Trumpeter kit is already pretty well done on its own. 😊"

Just got this at a yard sale. Box was open, but all bags were sealed. I asked how much, she said $40, and I said sold. Where is a good source for extra aircraft and equipment. Great work and awsome job.
@CapLAGOS9 күн бұрын
What a fantastic find! Scoring a sealed model kit, especially something detailed and intricate, for $40 at a yard sale is like hitting the jackpot. For extra aircraft and equipment, here are a few great sources: Shapeways: This 3D printing marketplace offers highly detailed custom parts, including aircraft and naval equipment in various scales. Just search for "1:350 scale" to find what you need. White Ensign Models: They produce high-quality resin and photo-etched parts, which are perfect for enhancing your build. Trumpeter: Since you already have a Trumpeter model, their accessory sets are compatible and well-detailed. They offer additional aircraft, weapons, and deck equipment. Tom's Modelworks: Known for their detailed photo-etch sets, they offer a range of aircraft and other accessories that can really bring your build to life. L'Arsenal 2.0: Specializes in resin and photo-etched parts for ships, including extra aircraft and detailed equipment. Hobby Shops: Don’t forget to check out local or online hobby shops like Sprue Brothers or HobbyLink Japan. They often have a great selection of aftermarket parts and kits. Good luck with your build, and I’m sure it will turn out awesome!

However, on the carrier itself, I only included the F-14D Tomcats, as it represents "The Last Tomcat Cruise," even though they were originally stationed on the Theodore Roosevelt. "Let's make sure history never forgets the name...Enterprise." - Capt Jean-Luc Picard
@CapLAGOSАй бұрын
The name "Enterprise" has become legendary across various iterations of naval and space-faring vessels, representing excellence, innovation, and bravery. From the storied history of the USS Enterprise aircraft carriers to the iconic starships of the Star Trek universe, the name has always been synonymous with groundbreaking achievements and remarkable service. The USS Enterprise Legacy CV-6: The World War II Legend The USS Enterprise (CV-6), also known as the "Big E," was one of the most decorated ships of World War II. She played a crucial role in numerous battles, including Midway, Guadalcanal, and Leyte Gulf, earning 20 battle stars, more than any other U.S. warship in World War II. CVN-65: The First Nuclear-Powered Aircraft Carrier The USS Enterprise (CVN-65) was the world's first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. Commissioned in 1961, she served the U.S. Navy for over 50 years, participating in key operations such as the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Vietnam War, and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The technological advancements and sheer power of the CVN-65 solidified her place in naval history. The Next Generation: CVN-80 Continuing the legacy, the USS Enterprise (CVN-80) is the third Gerald R. Ford-class aircraft carrier, currently under construction. Once commissioned, she will embody the latest in naval technology and power projection, ensuring that the name "Enterprise" remains at the forefront of naval innovation and defense. In the Realm of Science Fiction NCC-1701: The Original Starship Enterprise In the Star Trek universe, the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701) under the command of Captain James T. Kirk became a symbol of exploration and the quest for knowledge. The ship and her crew's adventures inspired generations to look to the stars and imagine the possibilities of space travel. NCC-1701-D: The Flagship of the Federation Captained by Jean-Luc Picard, the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D) from Star Trek: The Next Generation continued the legacy of exploration and diplomacy. Under Picard's leadership, the Enterprise-D became a symbol of peace and unity, facing numerous challenges with wisdom and courage. Honoring the Name "Enterprise" The legacy of the name "Enterprise" is a testament to the spirit of exploration, bravery, and innovation. Whether in the real world or the realm of science fiction, the name represents a commitment to excellence and a relentless pursuit of knowledge and advancement. Capt. Jean-Luc Picard's words remind us of the importance of preserving this legacy. As we look to the future, both in naval endeavors and in our dreams of space exploration, we ensure that the name "Enterprise" will never be forgotten. By building models, creating films, and sharing stories, we continue to honor the men, women, and fictional characters who have carried the name "Enterprise" into history and our collective imagination.
