I've had an Alesis strike pro SE for over a year now and i love it. I recently added a little splash cymbal to it as well and it was very easy to split from my floor tom rim to another cymbal. its got 135 different kits on it. Alot of the kits are different acoustic sounding kits but there are also some very funky weird and awesome sounding presets that dont even sound like drums and its a ton of fun to just mess around with them.

Thought about it. The songs I’m currently doing don’t really warrant a foot cam in my opinion. I’ve got some songs and covers cooking in the oven though that will certainly have a foot cam. This kick work for these posts are like a warm up to the real thing.

Pretty dope cover, man. Congrats! I also have a TD27 and have been inspired by your kit to do some custom modifications on mine. As it turns out, I did find a post you did 3 years ago on reddit on the edrums subreddit - you did share info on the custom wrap you did for your snare. Any chance that video is still available? It's not loading for me. I've been doing some research trying to find options to customize my TD27 so it doesn't look too dull. Keep it up on the amazing content, man.

Hey Fábio, thanks for the comment. The TD27 is pretty outstanding. Glad you’re in the headspace to customize your kit. I wish that video was still up. I used to have a channel called ‘Frodo Drums’ and that’s where that video resided. Like a fool, I deleted that channel with the start up of my Arcane Arrow channel. But with your interest amongst others, it’s definitely time to remake that video. It really just comes down to setting up the rack system appropriately and then everything else will fit well. If you paused the video and any drum cover, especially the top down view videos that should give you a pretty close idea of where to put pads and cymbals. Thanks for the interest and I look forward to hearing how your customization goes.

Thank you. That’s funny, I like your imagination for thinking that. And that’d be pretty rad to feature a train track and drums in the same video. (New concept maybe 🤔) It’s a rotating camera dolly system called the MARBL ORBIT. Mounts to the cieling and can revolve 360 either way. I love it and have used it for pretty much every video I’ve done.

How did you get the wraps for your drums? I wish roland had more customization options for looks, the DWe kits look amazing but way out of my price range.

That’s exactly what I was wanting too was a more customized look. I used vinyl from a hobby store. I had to fully disassemble the snare drum to get a proper wrap done, which is pretty simple to do.

Sweetwater was always out of stock when I wanted to order them, so, no I never had an opportunity to try them out. I’ve read a pretty even mix of reviews about them though, some say they work great, some say waste of money. If you end up grabbing them let us know what you think.
