How easy is it to get into the ports if you're shooting "vertical"? I use a Camranger. Is there space for your chord in vertical? Does this extend out a bit?

What is the difference between this and the discontinued Alan monopod? From the specs they look almost identical.

Alana is the upgraded Alan. The biggest difference is the top plate is now smoothed so you have a nicer grip when holding onto the monopod. Alana has new style locks and a rotating wrist strap for extra security. You can also now carry your kit over your shoulder with the Alana.

I have the old version of this for my a7r2 and battery grip, I love it. Sadly it doesn’t fit on my a7r4 with grip as the tripod thread sits too far forward on the a7r4 battery grip. Does this updated model fit the a7r4 with a battery grip attached?

Those two plastic tags at the end of the leg have been pushed to the end. Any idea how to retrieve them? The leg won’t retract fully due to this issue and I’ve tried several ways without success being that the rod is so narrow. Aaargh!!!

Sorry, I'm missing something here. To me, it would make sense if I could simply ask what camera I have (Nikon D57600) and hence which L-bracket will fit it? Or do I have to waste time and money by buying the wrong one and attempting to resell it on eBay?

As we are never able to get our hands on every single camera made to test all our L-brackets against we won’t always know the best fit. As a team if the question gets asked and we haven’t had the camera we google camera dimensions and measure up against our bracket specs. We made our ellie quiz to try eliminate searching times for everyone, plus we also have a gallery on the ellie page to show the fit against cameras we have managed to get our hands on. If you are ever stuck on what model would work best you can always email our support team - hope this answers some questions 😊
