This song brings back a lot of pain. Years ago, I was in love with a beautiful woman and (at least I thought she was) she was in love with me. We had so much in common and just clicked from day one. Sadly, I was very much playing with fire as she was already in a relationship. Though the communication remained platonic, it was still an affair. The pain of wanting to be with her grew greater and greater. Months had passed, and I couldn't take it anymore, so I gave her an ultimatum. I said to her it's either him or me. She had time to think about it, and decided to stay with her then partner. It was devastating! My heart was shattered and took years to properly recover. A couple of years later I bumped into her ex in a bar, who I knew of but wasn't a close friend. It turned out he left her after suspecting she cheated on him. It was then I decided to tell him the truth about me and her. It turned out he already knew but never confronted me about it. It also turned out that she had cheated on him with someone else that wasn't me. I did feel bad for him bit i also felt bad for myself for being such a fool. She would have cheated on me if we got together for sure. I can't go through falling for someone again. The pain is too much to bare.
