Flute 🪈 and piccolo is a great combination of musical 🎵 instruments to learn play also. Flute 🪈 and Clarinet is a great combination too. People say it’s easier to play flute 🪈 first before clarinet .

A very important piece of music that is slowly but surely getting the recognition it always deserved. Playing the entire thing at my music camp this summer, tune in 7:00 PM CST Saturday (7/27) on the Lutheran Summer Music KZfaq channel!

This music is BEAUTIFUL!!!! I went to Chicago with my family recently. And at the Chicago Jay Pritzker Pavilion, A symphony was practicing the 'Benediction'. I LOVE THAT SECTION!!! The song has so much emotion and feels like magic.

Manny Laureano is an exemplary musician as well as a thoughtful and wonderful human being. He is a true inspiration for excellence whether he has a trumpet in his hands or not. This is a great man and so happy to see this video that the Minnesota Orchestra produced. Well done all! Mark Inouye San Francisco Symphony

I’ve only learned about this composer today and I have been thoroughly impressed. It is so easy for people to say this is generic, AI generated or discredit the artistry of this man’s works but I’d like to see you try to compose anything remotely close to this, I bet you, you can’t nor won’t. I am not saying this is the most groundbreaking, earth shattering, spine tingling symphony I have ever heard but this is worth the listen. I feel like because he’s kinda underrated and not widely talked about like Debussy, Tchaikovsky, Bach, Vivaldi for example, that people are quicker to judge and reject lesser known composers especially if they are of Black descent. Great song. Great musicians. Beautiful conductor. All around amazing video of people playing music that just feeds my musician soul.

I would love to listen to this, but I can't, because they have chosen to submit themselves to the tyranny that requires them to mask up, and to give up their freedoms. Shame on you. You could be setting an example instead, by rejecting the subjugation.

If anyone wanted the program notes from Margaret Bonds, they are as follows. Decision Under the leadership of Martin Luther King Jr. and SCLC, Negroes in Montgomery decided to boycott the bus company and to fight for their rights as citizens. Prayer Meeting True to custom, prayer meetings precede their action. Prayer meetings start quietly with humble petitions to God. During the course of the meeting, members seized with religious fervor shout and dance. Oblivious to their fellow worshippers they exhibit their love of God and their Faith in Deliverance by gesticulation, clapping and beating their feet. March The Spirit of the Nazarene marching with them, the Negroes of Montgomery walked to their work rather than be segregated on the buses. The entire world, symbolically with them, marches. Dawn in Dixie Dixie, the home of the Camellias known as “pink perfection,” magnolias, jasmine and Spanish moss, awakened to the fact that something new was happening in the South. One Sunday in the South Children were in Sunday School learning about Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Southern “die-hards” planted a bomb and several children were killed. Lament The world was shaken by the cruelty of the Sunday School bombing. Negroes, as usual, leaned on their Jesus to carry them through this crisis of grief and humiliation. Benediction A benign God, Father and Mother to all people, pours forth Love to His children - the good and the bad alike.

$710 to rent this sheet music for one performance. I would love to spread the word about this music but that cost is prohibitive.

This is excellent. I really enjoyed hearing this Concerto for Orchestra. Why isn't this played by Orchestras in concert halls or more recordings? This Is so American through and through. ,👍👌😊🌹. Uylsees Kay sounds like no one else. He has his own style and sound. Sure glad I found this.

The Minnesota Orchestra is brilliant. And you need to aggressively promote it. It's sad that so many videos here on YT have little more than 2, maybe 3-digit views. Even this very video at this moment has a meager 702 views. WTF? Only 702 people saw this?? That's not even a good concert night at Orchestra Hall. This doesn't do you any favors. The Orchestra really needs to team up with the wealth of talent in the Twin Cities' massive number of Fortune 500 Corporations that knows something about SEO optimization. The Minnesota Orchestra does not have much of an internet voice. You need to change that. This will change the perception of the orchestra world-wide. And it has the potential to bring about financial support that the orchestra can only dream about. If the Minnesota Orchestra wants to stand on the World Stage, it should better have a World-Class presence on the internet. I believe the Orchestra can stand with the world's best. You need to believe it too.

Timpani was a clue in a crossword I was working today. I’d heard the word before but never gave it much thought but now this is my learn something new everyday thing. I wish I had the gift of playing a musical instrument but I can appreciate the skills of those who do have that gift. It’s fascinating the way the drums can be adjusted to make different sounds.
