The vaquero has the cooler look in some aspects. However, heading out on the open road is where the Voyager really shines.

How would you compare it to the goldwing since you said youve owned one? I recently sold my Goldwing F6b and purchased a voyager (waiting for delivery).

For me the GW1800 proved to be less than what I expected in terms of ride quality and user friendly operation, i.e. GPS was locked when riding. Annoying. So, with that being said the GW1800 is powerful, fast and complex with lots and lots of delicate electronics that make the magic happen. And to work on one is always complicated and very time consuming. For me the Voyager has been a refreshing bike, not over loaded with electronic gadgets that will one day fail and sideline the bike. All the required maintenance is a breeze and easily done. And during my recent trip of 2600 miles with lots of rain and a great amount of riding in traffic and the mountains I found the Voyager to be very comfortable and smooth. Granted, my bike is almost stock with the exceptions of the seat, horn, ecu and stereo speakers. Also, working on changing over to LED headlights and driving lights. More on that later.

Love the bike! I have a 2023 Voyager myself. I couldn’t help noticing that stylish and robust luggage rack on your trunk lid, do you mind if I ask who makes it and where did you purchase it?

www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078H4FJH4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It was for Indian and I made the metal strips myself to add stability to the rack. They are on the inside as well as those you see outside.

This seat is way different than the stock. When you go over some bigger bumps you can actually feel the internal seat suspension working.

The mods you made will probably hurt the resale value of the bike, but you don’t seem like the guy who worries about that too much, so more power to you. Get it the way you like it.

I didn’t buy this bike or for that matter any motorcycle I’ve ever owned with resale value as a thing. I have always been about what I liked and if it didn’t fit me then I worked at making it fit me. The whole motorcycle world seems to have become nothing more than everyone wants exactly what the next guy is riding, all bikes now tend to look and sound the same. Not for me, I go my own way. Also, I don’t plan on selling this bike any time soon. It’s almost paid for. As for a resale value and all that I really don’t think motorcycles are a great investment tool. That’s why I invest in the stock market, made way more money doing that.

It only folds to the rear. The antenna is in a less than optimal spot. I debated where and how to mount it completely out of the way. The location I chose did just that. For me it is the solution I had been seeking.

Hmmm.....guess I can understand your comment. But I meant this more as a demonstration of the sound quality of the stock stereo. However, I'm thinking of upgrading the stereo to the one made by a company called Bazooka. Its a plug n play system. Go to bazooka .com

The Venture handles this camper just fine. Plenty of power. As for stopping you'll figure it out the first couple of times. Not hard. Good luck.
