I said this somewhere else but it bears repeating. He should have done a duet with Whitney Houston. He was her mirror image-beautiful, vocally talented, well spoken, and kind. I definitely remember this song. This song and Tina Moore's Color Me Blue were in heavy rotation. That being said, Norwood was model material. So glad that I found this and to think I was listening to a Fourplay concert and decided to plug in Pieces of a Dream for Nikki's Smile. I will be playing this because it makes me smile.

I could see him singing with Whitney Houston. He is as handsome as she was beautiful. What's perplexing is why he didn't blow up like some of his contemporaries. But the world's rejection may be God's protection.

...still one of the most awesome, sheer raw-talent male vocalists, I've ever met. Met him in a recording studio in Atlanta, in the mid-80's. He was the first male singer I heard "live", that could literally "sing the phonebook"! Lol His improvisation skills were off-the-charts, up there with Chaka and Luther :-)
