The lime worked well for you. The soil also makes a big difference if you have a looser soil such as sand it will take less (40 lbs per 1k sq feet) you would need to double that amount if you have clay. On your initial soil test you had very low phosphorus which can happen with acidic soil. When you fertilize make sure you get a high phosphorus fertilizer ( some states it is illegal)

Michael I just wanted to take a second & thank you for your efforts with these foodplot videos. Our club is also in Sparta/Powelton & we face the exact same challenges year after year. @@RegencyHuntingClub I have learned to grow anything in this GA clay you have to fertilize more than normal. If you normally put two bags of fertilizer on your food plot put 4 this year. This clay does not have any nutrients for a plot to grow the way you wanted to. Plus lime, some years I would put 25 bags of lime on my acre food plot trying to get the PH up. You have to test the soil also. That way you know where you are and can adjust from there. I’m not planning to put to much in this year’s food plot because I have not been hunting much lately. But I still want it to grow well. Good luck on the food plots and get you a good name brand seed also that helps a lot.

plot size matters. that 2.5 gal plot start jug is meant to be sprayed on 1 acre. if you spread it across more than an acre youre not going to see the results

If you are looking to raise your soil pH to 6.5.use ag lime or dolomite.

Most everything I fish is a team tournament so, it’s not a co-angler type setup. You would have to find you a fishing partner yourself and then come fish with us.

I just upgraded to a 2023 Yamaha 225 and 3 months ago. I got 542 hours out of my old and lost compression in cylinder number two. I got 15 year out of the old without a problem until now. I think what kill it was the big silver filter on top of the VST was stop up and dry out cylinder number two.

Forget the chatterbait you need to be throwing crawfish something. After the tournament everybody’s fish had spit up crawfish in everyone’s live well. That land is super thick now. Pine trees are 15ft tall and you really can not hunt in the middle anymore you just have to hunt the outsides. Catching them coming and going in and out the cutover now. You can not cut roads in the pines because the land owner don't want you cutting the pine trees. So, if hard to hunt now be the big ones live in there. It's ok if you have other places to hunt and just hunt the cutovers here or there.

Your videos are real good. Those bolts that required you to remove the axle are a pain. I'd cut the head off and pull them out the other way, then replace them in the direction they should have been. You could avoid a lot of work that way. Polaris has a few ornery bolts that cause trouble like that. I have used a piece of garden hose for front a-arm bushings. 🙄 Heated and

I’m thinking about getting the ionic starting battery. I have the same motor as you and I know Yamaha doesn’t recommend lithium on there motor but I’ve noticed people using them. Have you had any issues with the motor because of the battery? I’d really like to get one.

No, I have not had any problems. The battery has worked great for 4 years now. I highly recommend this battery. Good luck.

If it was your injectors leaking, the fuel would leak into the intake manifold or cylinder head and would not be visible externally.

I got a super deal on the motor which I can’t give out the price but a new motor is going to cost you $25,000. I got Yamaha’s 2 year extended warranty for free. They are having a promotion right now. On the warranty. Then I added 3 more year warranty from the dealer where I bought the motor for $3,500. So I got a total of 8 year warranty on the motor. The shop charged me $1200 for installing the motor and replacing two gauges. And was a deal also I had worked out. So, it is expensive road when replacing a motor.
