Disgusting the trash and HUMAN Waste left behind on our beautiful mountains. Last time I was on Pisgah mountain we went on ole logging trails to the "free/primitive " camping spots. First stop , soon as stepped out truck...smell bout knocked me out stepped off road. Piles of human waste , toilet paper, women's hygiene products PILES of it. Shit in a bucket and haul it OUT Fool's. If your to lazy to dig a hole and bury it , take it with YOU. The inconsiderate people ruin our woodlands please dont litter , leave NO trace.

I chose the Leer 122 shell to accommodate my height. I'm 6' and can almost stand straight. I do wish the controller length longer; so if it's up and gets too westhery, it could still be lowered from the front of the bed

I have an ARE Camper Shell/Topper. Is this a complete shell system I have to purchase, or can I use my existing Camper Shell, and turn it into a "Pop-Up" Style camper like yours?

Have you ever had it lifted with your 270 awning deployed with the walls on? I have the same awning and I'm getting the lift and weekender next week. Just curious how they go together.

Workspace, turn the gun to where you can see your target through the trigger guard, you dont have to move your hand as much and saves a lot of time

Great video Chris, I’ve been on the fence about getting one of these. Do you notice that going through a car wash and stuff or driving on Dusty roads that the Topper is a lot less sealed?
@chrisstapleton-ChalkPrintProd5 ай бұрын
Thanks for checking out the video. Honestly, there is a nice 2” topper/seal tape that comes with the kit. It seals the topper and truck bed really well along the sides. I have not had any issues with the seal. The tailgate / topper area is the only place I’ve noticed dust/water getting in, which is typical for any topper. I did add an additional seal along the tailgate and topper hatch to alleviate most of this. Hope that helps.
@tylertucker44785 ай бұрын
So does this company sell the camper sell and all or is it just the lift and bed?
@chrisstapleton-ChalkPrintProd5 ай бұрын
Good question. The kit comes with the lift actuators, the wiring needed to connect it to the battery, and sealing tape for the truck bed. It also includes the canvas camping kits. You can also opt to just buy the lift system without the panels. You will need to buy the topper. These kits are universal and will install with almost all toppers available on the market.

I guess if you're going to freeze your you-know-what's off, you might as well pick a beautiful place to do it. I myself would have a blazing fire going before I would take the plunge.

Haha. Great idea. I considered that idea at one point. With all the rain we had the last few days, there wasn’t much for dry timber around. Could have planned it out better! Would have made it a much more comfortable after experience. :-) 🔥

It needs a rain skirt like my current truck bed tent (~$200). Rain IS an issue in the PNW.
@chrisstapleton-ChalkPrintProd6 ай бұрын
I have seen people put a tarp along the sides up under the lip of the topper to help seal out water. Although that kind of takes away from the functionality of this system. Id love to get out there to the PNW soon!!

I requested this earlier but like to again. I really love your entire setup. I’ve watched countless truck build videos looking for the best setup for myself. Your entire setup is the best I’ve seen and I’d like to copy it. Could you please do a complete tour of your build explaining the box layout with drawer details, hinge placement and the build in passenger side bed storage box too. Please include showing the shade structure and shell and how they work. Really awesome setup man. Thank you so much. I’ve watched videos for months and finally feel like I found your videos. Again thanks I look forward to watching your complete truck setup tour !

What kind off shock mount did you use? Did you use the bearing one for the rear or just normal shock mount
@bradlaakso84315 ай бұрын
He should order the Fox eyelet bearing kit as those bushings will wear out fast on that bike. The amount of rotating the lower link shock mount on Santa Cruz bikes all but requires the bearing for smooth operation.
@chrisstapleton-ChalkPrintProd5 ай бұрын
I was reading up on that a while back. Thats a good idea. I haven’t had any issues , yet. The Fox rep had mentioned upgrading that as well. When these wear I’ll be doing that. Thanks for the tip.🤘🏼
