I think this was her performance with which she was awarded the "Bach Prize" at the Tchaikovsky Competition. she remains confidently well paced throughout the piece with a huge sense of structure, yet spontaneous, (at times somewhat) capricious expressions shines through from behind a steady classical style, with an astonishingly wide variety of tone colors and subtle nuances. This is a remarkable musical individuality. Although everybody now knows she is a great virtuosa, I wonder how she had achieved this level of musical maturity at her age at this time. Along with the Tchaikovsky Concerto she played at the final round, this rendition of Chaconne is a legendary, once-in-a-lifetime sort of performance even in her glorious musical career yet to come. Yes, I totally agree with the comment from badkid73. This makes me cry and makes me reassure the power of great music at great hands.

演奏者の事を忘れさせて音楽だけに引きこむ。どんな楽器でもこんなことをできる人はごく少数なんだよね。
