I play bass Sunday mornings at my home church. I use the Boss GT-1B bass pedal. It's awesome. Sunday nights, I play lead guitar. I have been a Fender man for years. This is the ULTIMATE guitar effects unit. I think it's cool to be able to play bass through it in a pinch. Granted, it's not designed for bass, but can be used if needed. It is AWESOME!!!

Sì ma ha un difetto non da poco che quando da passivo passi alla modalità attivo si sente troppo cresce troppo il volume di uscita e non è una buona cosa su un basso

I've grown tired of the current wave of Ibanez basses. I don't like their choice of electronics like the Nordie pickups, or that 3 position mid switch. I've had 2 of their more expensive basses, and I didn't like the sound of either one. One was a Soundgear SR1900 PREMIUM, and the other was a Soundgear SR2500 PRESTIGE. Not impressed by either one. The bass I've been using for quite awhile, is the GSR200 with a pair of DiMarzio DP126 pickups. It has the "Boom" control as well, and that works really well with the Dimarzio pickups. Neck is perfect, and the sound is awesome for a passive bass. I paid $185.99 at Guitar Center for the GSR200.

Great video. This would have been a godsend in the early 80s. Provided you had the chops to do so, you could have played the bass line, converted it to MIDI as you did, then doubled it by sending the MIDI out to your favorite synth. Voila! I'm sure that would have saved a considerable amount of time. ... Back to the present, it would be fun to hear what doubling the bass guitar with a deep sine wave patch would sound like.

You bring up a great point! Generally speaking, yes. Everything is close enough together that you could, for example, set the amp settings by holding down ALT with your thumb and then turning the other knobs with fingers from the same hand.

Great video, your excitement for the bass shows. I got the cut away spruce top version, and love it. It has decent volume for an acoustic bass! I also bought the Sapele topped Sunburst version as a cutaway as well. Has a much darker tone and sounds fantastic. Very comfortable basses to play!

Amplitube and Tonex I see absolutely no reason for a hardware based unit, when latency is so low its undetectable by the human ear now. All you need is what you are probably going to ise this with. A laptop, and an interface. If you dont play out. You dont need an amp at all anymore. Want bass amps and DI chains.. Its all right there, in Amplitube and Tonex..

I have a question Dan. Ive been playing Bass for almost 2 years. That first song you played, and the tone. For some reason your tone sounds much different than mines. Could it be the amp im using? Im using a Bugera 15" combo amp. I'm trying to get that same tone. To me it reminds me of the music man stingray tone. Could it be my tone settings?
