Man I'm on the way to AutoZone right now to pick the fan up to attempt this. The only thing I was confused on is you can't see those two bottom bolts in the video And did u disconnect the hose from the radiator? and that clip when you had it off does that clip into the car somewhere that you have to unclip the car in order to pull the fan out?

Thanks for the help. I know nothing about working on cars and just did it myself. I have some fog lights installed and wasn't able to fully remove the bumper but I was able to get them installed.

Permatex tape is better especially for fuel.

I don't know if mine is a Honda, ie, it was given to me without telling me what is was off, and it doesn't have the doors at the back, but a strip across the bottom that you have to lift slightly.

Thanks for this video as it is still useful 8 yrs down the line. I grinded down a cotter pin to make a tiny screwdriver since I didn't have one and it worked great.

Thank you for posting, I have totally struggled with these connectors and broken more thane one. I could never figure this out on my own without destroying it. I am amazed how well these are engineered, I have owed many Hondas with OUT STANDING electric system that other manufacturers can not duplicate,..

do upgraded speakers just increase clarity ? not volume ?

Volume is a function of input power, regardless of configuration, size, etc. As such, your control module is what determines volume, not your actual speakers. However, your speakers are only designed to handle particular power ranges, so you must be sure you select a suitable speaker for your available power range, or you run the risk of blowing out the speaker and/or having a short due to overloading and starting a fire.

@@Namington Thank you so much for the detailed response. I recently had my friend who is really knowledgable about this stuff do a big upgrade in my crv. We installed a 1500 watt amp, 3 subs, 2 tweeters and 4 new mid ranges and 2 that include tweeters as well. It was def a big upgrade and i love every part of it!

If it’s the one I’m thinking about you’ll remove the white center bar inside by pulling out. Then it’ll be a similar method as this video to get the pins out.

The cutaway really helps understand exactly what needs to happen. Thanks for the video. This can be extremely frustrating not knowing exactly how it works, especially when you’re trying to figure it out with head/arms stuffed in the back of the floorpan in the dark.

Unlike an Accord, the location of the IACV is almost inaccessible on a 1995 Odyssey. The back of the hood which you see @1:15 is extends more towards the front in an Odyssey, which "buries" the IACV deeper in the engine compartment. I cannot imagine how one would access the two bolts holding the IACV. Seems like the only recourse is to disassemble the entire air intake boot and manifold.

Thank you very much for the information. How can you determine the engine numbers you mentioned at the beginning or where are these numbers located? Is there any component on the Idle Air Control Valve that wears out or does it just need cleaning? Is there any method to confirm the signal from the IACV to the ECM without removing either one?

Update to my last comment: Found a pair of Kenwood speakers that fit on my forth try. The CRV will not fit the majority of 6.5 inch speakers so I highly recommend going somewhere like bestbuy where stuff it easy to return until u find a pair that works

Just so y’all know the 2000 CRV DOES NOT have 6.5inch speakers they are 6.25 and thus nothing I bought would fit

@@hondapartsheroful tried the same brand (and a different one) that were both 6.5 but wanted to purchase a more expensive one than the one u had and neither fit. When I measure the old ones they’re definitely 6.25
