Great specimens for sure. You nailed the mirroring on the fire layers. These are so rare and sometimes will get lost on the lapidary process. Brilliant work.

Great video - thanks for posting! I really appreciate how much time it took to sand and polish the irregular surfaces on those rock! I've done a few like that (on an 8" cabbing machine), but that is really tedious work! And I appreciate your recognition that the first attempt on the Ky Agate left too many scratches - some people would have said good enough, but we know better. :) I really love Kentucky Agates -- they are certainly my favorite - I've polished well over 100 Ky Agate nodule/geode halves over the years (and I live in Kentucky). I mainly use a Bull Wheel dry sander (silicon carbide), and polish on leather with tin oxide. I have a question: is there a particular reason that you didn't use (or try) the Richardson Ranch High-Speed Sander on the Ky Agate geode half? I've considered getting one for polishing small-medium size agates, and was wondering about that. Thanks again.

I was just there with my son last week. One of the best National Park visitor centers I've ever been to, a great museum of fossils, especially inside the men's bathroom wall.😂
