Just an FYI, I have seen Matt or anyone else on YT so far review this tool but I just picked up a 39" T square off Bangood and it is excellent. It's very accurate from what I can tell and It was only $50. Red anodized rule with a black T head. I'd love to buy every Woodpeckers tool but, like most of us, I had to get something affordable.

I use my DeWalt like your saw, I think, to cut aluminum......100% of the time..... it is a fantastic tool for that, the only thing I do is use a cutting wax by Tapmatic, Edgelube, and a TCP profile 80 tooth blade......the surface I get will blow you away how smooth.... and yes, it is important to wait for the blade to stop before racing the saw....the dust is no issue, but the chips coming off can be hot, so ear and eye protection is important.... wearing a ball cap with the brim in the proper direction is also very helpful..... all your tips in this video are spot on.....thank you so much....Paul

This is a great blade for some that needs to set down his sign. Hard to install something while holding the sign. You know like the reason fan belts have warnings to make sure motor isn’t on while replacing. Humm why did that ever need stated. Yes this date blade perfect for one that trying to replace a belt while motor is on.

Seems like a lot of work just to do what a router can do with a router table. Yeah I know some saw tables offer a work space that's larger. Yet nothing one build can't fix. To make a larger table. Yet i understand everyone has their preferences.

Is it not the case though on most if not all or EU table saws arbor is not long enough to take a dado stack anyway which was just another measure of the EU rules to prevent a dado stack being imported? So even if you can now legally buy an EU approved dado stack it is not gonna fit the saw - if I have understood how things work here in UK/EU

In the EU, CMT sell the 230.312.08M rather than the 230.312.08, which is 6 to 20mm. The Nominal widths table looks very similar, with spacer and shim the thicknesses being quite close, but they're not identical. For instance the 1/8" chipper is noted as being 3.14mm thick on the M set, rather than 3.175mm, so I would be interested to get vernier calipers on these to see if * they are manufactured to metric specs, with the U.S measurements being approximations; * they are manufactured to imperial specs, with the EU measurements being approximations; or * they manufacture them to both metric and imperial specs rather than just varying the documentation.

My name is Fabio and I am writing to you from Italy. Yesterday the courier delivered to me my first Woodpeckers tool, the "ThinRip Guide with Rack-It". Purchasing it from Italy, including shipping costs, taxes and duties, I paid $110 more than the price in the USA (in in any case less than what I would have paid by purchasing it from a European importer seller!) When I took the tool in my hands I realized that I had spent that money very well because the quality, solidity and precision are not even comparable with the tools , even quality ones, that I have had so far in the laboratory... obviously I won't even mention the ridiculous Chinese clones sold at Banggood that I bought once just out of curiosity. From today on Woodpeckers will have a special place in my workshop. My next purchase will definitely be the combined team you presented in this video.

Actually all mitre saws are set incorrectly.... The angle that is between the fence and blade is 90° but on the saws plate it starts from 0° Or am I looking at it wrong.....

The degree lines represent the cut you are making on the cut axis so zero degree is a zero degree cut, the fence is just there to support the piece

Fantastic video. Im just getting into using routers. I picked up a Bosch with a fixed and plung base kit. I use that on a table i made. Bur, i realized that I needed something more versatile at times. So, i grabbed a Ryobi cordless since that is the battery platform ive fot the most of. Now, i have some good direction on how to use them.

Your small parts organizer boxes in the center look just like mine...random washers, screws, miscellaneous other products, and the overspill from when you forget to fasten the closures prior to picking up and moving said box. It's all a sign of a busy craftsmen. Carry on my friend!

Imperial blade goes from 15/64 to 13/16 inch. metric goes from 6 to 20mm. No wonder the rest of the world is using metric, but we still get content with this crazy system.

I'm an American living in the EU, and I have a table saw here. The EU law is that ALL BLADES being used in the table saw must use a riving knife. There's no riving knife for the dado blade, so it can't be used. It's not because the dado blades are dangerous. To 'help' people comply with this law, most table saws sold in the EU have short arbors, so even if you could find a dado stack you wouldn't be able to install it. Dado blades are not illegal, but using them is.

As you said, the regulations in the EU are about the time it takes to spin down after cutting the power. Any table saw sold in the EU has to come to a stop within 3 seconds after hitting the off switch. Most machines are designed to do so with a standard blade. A dado stack with far more weight than a single blade has, will need significantly more time to spin down. If you want to use dado blades though the manufacturer explicitly warns about the use of blades which do not comply with their recommendations, you may do so in a hobby environment, but not in a business workshop (because of the rules of accident prevention). If in doubt, you can check the spindown time with a stop watch. If it is less than 3 seconds, you are safe (on the legal side). Greetings from Germany, Marcus Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, this is just what I read from the applying laws in my country.
