Amazing. When I got my first desktop a few years ago, I wanted a custom case with these CM5 style LED displays on the front. Well, I never did that but now I can adapt this into a small light display inside my case for some personal flair. Really love it. For those who are attempting it: the code works as is just fine (Jan 2020), but when you install the MD_MAX72xx library, make sure you are installing v.2.10.0 (the version that this user was likely using at the time). The newer versions don't work with this code in the same way, and all it took was rolling it back to this version and it works perfectly fine. Thanks so much, NetAgent!

how did you get your elevator so close to the rails? I'm trying to build one too, but the cabin wont lock evenly onto the rails :(

how did you get this thing to move, i'm building one of my own. but everytime i unlock the merge blocks to start it moving with atmo thrusters, the drum bit of the maglev blocks seem to lock onto the actual rail and not move. Am i missing something here

The rails are landing gear, you may have to unlock them.

One of the best SE videos ever. Incredible work. How KM does it go up? How long did it take and how many rail sections long is it? I ask because I've been wanting to build a skyhook platform like yours for awhile now

It's about 20.5 km, which hits the max block length. The rails run the length of the tower, I believe they are the larger rail sections.
