Rhys, check out the latest work by Dr. David Behm, which recommends stretching two hours before your regular warmup, to increase range of movement.

Congratulations on your hard earned medal. It has been a pleasure following your journey and I hope the future brings many more wonderful moments for you It is good you have been trying to maintain perspective about your Olympic career and your future are taking pains to avoid the shock and trauma some athletes experience when it comes to the Olympics. The only positive thing you can say about your fall in Tokyo is it prevented you from achieving your title too soon. You could learn from that experience and build on it. You collected many major titles and capped it off with this Olympics and made the victory that much sweeter and appreciated whatever happens next, I want to say as a man who has watched gymnastics since the 1970s, I appreciate all you all done for the sport and helped invigorate interest in men's gymnastics

Youre so inspiring! Me and my girlfiend found this channel merely one or two weeks before Paris started and got hooked on the determination, and the informatino you brought to the table. One day we were just changing tv channels and saw your face!, went back and saw you get to finals. I instantly remembered you from the videos I saw here on this channel!! We followed your journey through this and celebreted a lot when you got gold! Im from south america and I do not know if you know this but the commentator from Claro Sports were calling you 'The Pommel Prince' and kept calling you 'prince' up until you won and ascended to king!!! Huge congrats and I love the RB sponsorship!!! get the coin!!! Huge congrats and Im subbed to this channel for life! Congrats again!!

Selfishness as requiring enormous personal sacrifices . . . that's a viewpoint I've not encountered before, but it makes perfect sense from the perspective of a professional athlete. How's the reading coming along?

You're an inspiration. Started following you I think mostly because of how you come across as a person. To be as driven as you are, as committed and serious as you are, and at the same time to be such a quality human being - I think that's inspiring for anyone. All the best for your future endeavours. I can't wait to follow them.

I’d argue that you have given us Irish the joint title of best in gymnastics at the Olympics because your the only gymnast we sent and ended up with 1 medal (tied with Azerbaijani). It’s also incredible because Ireland doesn’t have a huge number of gymnastics clubs compared to many other countries and other sports like rugby and gaa is much more integrated into Irish sports but gymnastics isn’t as big and to have you still come out with a gold medal is truest incredible. I think and hope that you make gymnastics more popular after your success like the Irish woman hockey team did in 2018. Your truly inspiring.

Watching your success now having been following since before Tokyo was so incredible. It was beautiful seeing an Olympic gold for Ireland coming out of Newtownards, a town where my mother now lives after having moved our family to the other side of the world from our home due to the violence of the troubles. Congratulations Rhys- you so deserve it. You are an absolute inspiration to kids all over Ireland, whatever their background may be
