It would have been more effective if they didn't have that thing in their hands, just standing in the dress they were wearing, taking a picture and serving it. At least he could have given a note of the dresses looking at the picture and said that these are important people, but when it comes to Iran, unfortunately, it is not possible to deal with the subject with a normal brain. Even the Quantum universe is mad at you. 😂😂

Very very rarely does a remake of a film or television mini-series improve on the original. This is one of those rare exceptions. The subtlety of the acting, especially by the Japanese cast is beyond brilliant; the curl of a lip, a sideways glance of the eye or a slightly tilted head. The producers have treated the audience as adults who don't need to have every plot point broken down to words of two syllables or less. The story line has created strong characters of both sexes with significant parts to play and the lesser roles are fully fleshed out and often leave the viewer wondering what significance that character will play in the longer term. As soon as I saw some of the pre-release videos I knew this was a show that had to be watched and led me to subscribe to the viewing channel, something I have strenuously avoided doing until now. I don't regret the decision.

There's one film missed out on here that came out the same time as The Lost Boys but is far superior .... TLB had more of a Hollywood backing to it but the film directed by Katherine Bigelow is Near Dark ... it's a great take on vampirism starring Bill Paxton and Lance Henriksen .... WAY better than the Lost Boys IMHO and should DEFINITELY be included in this list.

Thank you for bringing up "Near Dark"! It's indeed a fantastic film. We have actually ranked "Near Dark" at number 11 in our article on the top 20 vampire movies. It narrowly missed making it into our top 10 for the video due to the intense competition and variety within the genre. You can check out the full article on our website, the link to the article is in the video description. Thanks again for your comment and recommendation!

I’m happy with your top three choices: Coppola’s “Dracula” was where I found my fear of vampires (as a kid), “Blade” eliminated that fear, and “Nosferatu” was the reason wu both appreciate the art, as well as have an occasional laugh, over vampire lore.

Good list, but I would place Bram Stokers Dracula 2nd. I would say it was much more influential to vampire lore in cinema than Blade did. Gary Oldman’s charismatic performance as Dracula completely eclipsed the long held cultural visage of Bela Lugosi (also an important figure in Vampire pop culture) and Christopher Lee’s Dracula, which had since denigrated to the point of satire and campiness. Dracula was serious and terrifying again with greater complexity of character rather than just a black caped blood sucking villain with an exaggerated Eastern European accent. Although Blade did revive interest in vampires in cinema and pop culture I feel it had more influence on the comic book and action film genre.
@gazettely
@gazettely Ай бұрын
You make a fair point about Oldman's Dracula. Our list focused on distinct genres within vampire films. While it reinvented horror takes on Dracula, we felt Blade had more influence innovating the action/vampire hybrid through Wesley Snipes' charisma and its martial arts approach. Both hugely impactful, but Blade showed greater innovation fusing vampires within action specifically, which is what we aimed to highlight with our #2 spot. Appreciate the discussion!

Visuals are quite good. Read the book at least 3x, and watched the original series at least 5x. Not really impressed with this depiction. Don't feel the cultural depth like I did with original adaption. Probably will not watch this again - anywho...my two cents.

There was one black who was Portuguese Father 's slave. When Father met Oda Nobuaga , Oda was very interested and asked if he was painted with ink. Japanese had never had slave for thousands years for Emperor forbidden. Japanese has special y gene in the world and it is not complicated like Chinese nor Korean. Japanese DNA is carrying Jyomon DNA since 20,000 years ago which shares Hokkaido to Okinawa who live in Japan. Japan was only one to be Independent country in asia . Emperor's had never changed since first emperor to present emperor 127th, same blood line through males for thousands years.

I got through 50 of the game. I didn't like the story,. I didn't think the Characters are interesting or likable. The music is pretty shtty. That only a small part of it. I did very some tough platforming but they just make me over and over. These game should only be about 20 hours long but UBI Soft,they make they make their games long.

7 days to die didn't make the list and in my personal opinion is 10x better than Ark survival evolved or ascended. Ark ascended is so broken that its almost impossible to play and really enjoy. Not to mention the tethering in co-op sucks. 7d2d doesnt have tethering and is also splitscreen. More advanced than ark as they are not capable of handling that kind of programming.

I hope Emma or Sandra win. They are both equally most deserving in my humble opinion. Then come Carey, Lily, and Annette in order. But Lily Gladstone has a powerful narrative backing her up, and also it seems the Academy doesn't wish to leave Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon empty-handed at this year's Oscar night. If she doesn't win, Killers of the Flower Moon will likely become the third scorsese picture with ten nominations an no win. As they say, the Academy will "spread the love"! But, if Emma Stone had no Oscars in her bag, she would definitely be the winner, and deservedly so.
