First of all great tutorial, theres too many tutorials on youtube that are 20min long and dont give enough information. Problem ive downloaded the file but serum on the Ableton file is in VTS2 anyway to change that to VTS3. do you know what i mean?

Hey ! First of all, thanks you so much for this well explained course. I would like to inform you that the email link to grab the free project file is down, I don't receive it after entering 10x my mail ^^' Can you please fix that ?

This is a great tutorial and definitely has the depth I am looking for. Thank you for taking the time to put this together. Its the best tutorial I have seen on Kepler. I would never have known about the rolling bass line and quantization option in this. Even Image line does not have a tutorial on this (at least I can't seem to find one). Am learning every day and it blows my mind how I keep coming across new things. I just subbed. When I get the cash I will definitely be trying to get hold of the course you provide because I know it will be to the level I am looking for. Thank you again!

Sorry for commenting for the second time, but how do I obtain royalty free reference tracks? Like, where can I download them? Thank you!

If it’s just for reference why does it need to be royalty free? For a youtube video?

Reference tracks are just tracks you think represent the style you're going for - in terms of mixdown, arrangement and vibe. I just buy a high-quality file off Beatport usually :)

In my opinion, Deep house has the calm crisp rhythms of Lofi hip-hop, and also a similar relaxing vibe. But deep house has more energy, so I don't get bored while listening to it. I look forward to making more music like this!

I mean you're wrong as Deep House comes from Soul, Funk and Jazz backgrounds. Deep House is groovy, soulful, emotional, beautiful and smooth. It originates from Detroit and is recognised to be created by Larry Heard with his release: Can You Feel It, Other sources of recent times have suggested it was also Frankie Knuckles who made Deep House as well as House in Chicago. If you look up and listen to these 3 records for example, The 1st by Dennis Ferrer called How do i let go and the 2nd called Eternal Mind by Boo Williams and finally the 3rd by Basement Boys Project called In My Mind. All are fundamentally different in energy but, in sound they are still in sync. Both have the same elements of Soul, Groove, Funk Bass. Deep House can have low energy or high energy. It doesn't matter. What matters is the Canvas that it was written from and sound sources behind the creation of the track. If it doesn't contain elements of Groove, Soul, Funk or Jazz etc. Then it's not House. Simple as that. This track Aden made is still Deep House. He has all the correct elements added in the concept.

Should I be getting good sound from dry browser samples of Drums or should I be having to jazz them up like other tutorials are suggesting?

Note that some of these settings etc are for PC only. For example, Core Audio on Mac is all you need. ASIO is for PC only.

Good video. I can hardly hear a difference between any of it. It's so subtle. As a visual artist it feels like, "We are going to use RGB 10, 33, 248. Okay let's dial in a 10, 33, 249. Wow you just killed it." Like yes, there is a difference, but it's SO subtle I'm wondering if the typical listener could possibly benefit. I am guessing your ears are way more trained, but I think that's my point - most people's aren't?

What was the main reason for the High Pass Filtering for Lead stab 1 and not applying a filter to Lead stab 2? How should you eq when layering sound or did you just go by ear? Thanks

I used Samplism on Mac (license version). It was very intuitive, easy and beautiful app. Now I'm back on Windows since a while and I use almost ADSR Sample Manager. Very similar...and totally free.

I use shaper a lot in manual mode for effect racks. You can alter the curve of macros, and also setup multi stage macro knobs using shaper.

Im sorry but what you said about "Cosmos" is not true. It is ofcourse DAW integrated. At least the coresponding sampler "CR8" from Waves is. It is a feature rich sampler plugin thats capable of everything you could whish for. There is a "browse" button which will open up "Cosmos" for you to pick a sample. (Although I have to admit that the sampler should have been called "Cosmos", like the manager.)
