Thanks ! How many hats can you sew per needle ?
@pradostradingpost6234 ай бұрын
I run my needles approximately 10 hrs each then change. If I'm sewing tough hides it's less.
@haroldrisner20574 ай бұрын
on your paddles drill 6 holes across them add 1/2 dowel rods protruding out about 1"glue in it will help break the hides made mine 25 years ago

what's most common setting you use? Also, would you recommend the TechSew? How long have you had yours?
@pradostradingpost6234 ай бұрын
Had it about 3 years, I normally run stitches longer because there is less twist. I've only ever had this one and haven't ran others so I don't know how it compares.

Why use this over a standard model of singer machine?
@pradostradingpost6235 ай бұрын
It keeps edges really even, the seams don't show as much, you can easily tuck the longer fur. Also it doesn't have a lower bobbin so you don't need to stop for that which saves time on the bigger projects.

I dry tan all my capes from wildlife galleries in Michigan. All you have to do is rehydrate or soak the cape before you measure for your form. Soak measure and freeze until your form arrives and you are ready to mount the cape. I get all the stretch back out of a dry tan cape as you get out of a wet tan.
@pradostradingpost6236 ай бұрын
I know Charlotte at wildlife gallery. I'm gonna message her and see what process they use. I'm very interested in this and might do a second video. Thank you
@JP-tz3lt6 ай бұрын
@@pradostradingpost623 my understanding is the climate the mount is going to be displayed in. I live in the southwest, very dry. Wet tans in a dry climate experience issues.

@@pradostradingpost623 cool cause it just jumped for 4 to 6... While I was watching. Still not happy how these tailed turned out with the smell. Trying to get ideas away from the orange bottle. Do like that auto tanner and flesher ya got dont like the price...thinking of rednecking something with a bench grinder and a 55 gallon drum.

if you even out the strings after the first stitch is set and wax them heavily with beeswax it helps with the tangling and twisting alot. just a tip. ive learned alot from watching you.
