Is Gion open for tourists?

There is a ban that covers just 5 blocks of Gion. Remaining parts still open for tourist such public areas and main tourist attractions are also open to tourist

@@livesimple91 is it still possible for the tourists to see Geishas and their houses outside of those 5 blocks? I’ve always wanted to see that 😭

@@littlesnowflakey Yes you can visit many historical houses in Gion and also witness Geishas. just make sure you plan ahead for the shows for example so you don't miss

Great timing for many things. Weather will be cold but not freezing 😊 also because of this, accommodation and also souvenirs will be much cheaper at this time. And if you are driving , very easy to find parking and enjoy the attractions
