Hey why would you install passive EMG's? The one thing emg os not really great at is passive bass pickupz except the GZRs but the 35HZ only really works well if you have a decent preamp
@LonnyEagletonMusic5 күн бұрын
Yeah I tried them out for that tour. I did like them, but I’ve since switched to active EMG 35DC pickups and have been enjoying those a lot more.

@@LonnyEagletonMusic that's awesome man, another little trick You can use for EMGs is You can basically use any 7string guitar pickup in a soapbar housing ,it will fit in a 4 string bass,there the exact same size, one that is really awesome is the 707TWX mixed with an 35CSX. Ps saw you with freeze the fall in Kelowna recently! Any chance for a tour date here?

My mom made sure to raise me on 70s and 80s rock, a lot of Police, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bon Jovi, and Bob Seger was played in the car. She was friends with Molly Hatchet and Skynyrd for crying out loud. When she passed almost 2 years ago I pretty much stopped listening to that era of rock, I think I'm gonna go put some earbuds in though and enjoy it. Thanks for reminding me of it all Lonny, and you're skills are insane.

I don't even why you're a bassist instead of guitarist, maybe more gigs because they're rarer. BTW, I think BVB should make some good quality videos of their live shows, like Battle Beast has been doing recently, because the cellphone ones from the audience look and sound horrendous, they're not making the band look good. From just those videos, people would think Andy can't sing well, they sound so horrid. Hopefully it's just the bad audio, but maybe he really is that bad live, I don't know, hope not.

I'm being my usual self when I dive deep into a new hyperfixation, and I'm quietly consuming all this content I didn't know existed, so, sorry in advance for my deeply late comment, Lonny. These analysis videos are SO much fun. As a baby audio mixer, I LOVE listening to these breakdowns and hearing your explanations of decisions made, how elements work together, etc. You help me hear distinct pieces of the songs, AND how they come together so beautifully. I also wanted to shout out your necklace, because, unless I'm seeing incorrectly, I THINK that's a One Final Fight necklace from Never Take It Off...which I just fucking love. It's really endearing to me how you get to live your actual dream, and you take us alongside you to experience it. Keep rocking, my friend. <3

Hi Lonny, Silver Sky looks brand new after 1 year. Jeff, Lindsey and Mark. I've learned their tunes and prefer no pick. How do you present your playing at a solo gig ? Backing Trx, looper ? Thx Lonny, Tucson, AZ.
@darwinsaye29 күн бұрын
The important thing to know is that when a humbucker is split to the single coil, it is lower output than a standard single coil. The reason is that if a pickup is going to be made to do double duty as both a single coil and a humbucker, a compromise must be made with the output. If you make a humbucker that has just as much output as a standard single coil when split, then it is going to have way more output than a standard humbucker when not split. Conversely, if you make it have regular humbucker output when not split, it is going to be a weak single coil when you split it. If you compromise right down the middle, you will have a humbucker that is not quite a regular humbucker output and not quite a regular single coil output. It’s always going to be a compromise.
