Question, Where does one even go about it find an old abandom actual car dash that is already taken out of vehicle and bare bones that one can bring home to modify? Was it a older car he owned himself & gutted it? I know there probably a few local junk yards or places that have abandoned junk cars but removing entire dashboard takes specialized tools and experience knowing out to do it all. Might be cheaper or easier to pay someone to print a 3D cad model of working dashboard. Or is this a 3D dash to begin with?

Dashboards (in my experience) are easy to take out, it just takes time, usually just need some screw drivers and allen wrenches, another way would to go on market place and find a car/truck that someone is parting out

In my country (Latvia), these cars are take it apart by parts on every corner. You don't have to do anything yourself. Just choose any part.

Plan was for triple screens, but here is so small space for that and we choise VR with reality mixing.

How did you connect the key ignition to the Arduino? Secondly, how did you get it to work in game as well as giving power?

The ignition key is just a power switch for the speedometer. Arduino works continuously when the PC is on because it is powered by USB. SimHub needs to be installed for it to work with the game

I would have been the happiest boy in the world if I had been given what you have when I was a little boy. I have always loved driving. And if I had been given the opportunity, I would probably have been among the best today, but it wasn't there, I didn't get it. But I am in the process of building myself up to get good equipment just like you.
