Yeah I would think you can use the regular eternity gate after deep striking in the same reinforcements phase. You couldn’t do that in 9th, but it seems like the rules for 10th allow it. I believe deep strike said something about “end of reinforcements phase” before and it didn’t work with the eternity gate, but now we don’t have all that specific wording. Definitely couldn’t use the dimensional corridor of course since it says you can only use it in a turn where the monolith actually started on the board. So I think you could drop the monolith in and bring warriors to shoot, but couldn’t charge until next turn with anything.

Nice review! I've always loved this model! Obescience phalanx strat for -1 dmg is also decent. I always support the Monolith with a reanimator. P.S. planes, obelisk, and convergence of dominion, don't have invulnerable save. Dimensional corridor requires the minilith to be on the battlefield since the start of the turn.

I love my scarabs They are so lucky 3 scarabs against a Psychophage Got 3 mortal wounds from self destructed and 9/12 5+ hits with 5 being lethals By the end of the turn the Psychophage was half strength from scarabs alone Also the same 3 finished off a daemon prince

You cannot Deepstrike the Monolith and use Dimensional Corridor. It's in the description of the stratagem: One NECRONS unit from your army that was set up on the battlefield this turn using the Eternity Gate ability of a MONOLITH model that started the turn on the battlefield. The keyword here is "that started the turn on the battlefield". If it Deepstrike, it didnt start the turn on the battlefield

With the death ray or gauss flux arc - you get 4 of them so extra punch here compared to just looking at the individual stat line

Canoptek Reanimator, Canoptek Spyder, Doom Scythe, and Night Scythe are Necrons Vehicles without an invuln save

Don't forget the new rules for Tank Shock since it goes off toughness now. So first shoot with the Monolith, then charge if its in range and tank shock, you get 13 dice for up to 6 mortal wounds before you fight. Definately worth a cp if you charge into a group of Terminators. I pulled that off against someone playing Salamanders the other day against his land Raider and ruined his day since I also had a Nightbringer who charged in as well (overkill I know but there was a decent squad insider the land Raider, needed the extra punch)

Sounds like it was a fun event ... so I can vouch for secret missions, I've played three Hypercrypt games so far in Pariah Nexus and I used a secret mission (the battleline one) three times for three wins (helped that I went second all three times). Being able to continue to score a little on primary while setting up a big spike on T5 is definitely a very different playstyle to the Canoptek board control style I'm used too. It's fun for me ... maybe not for my opponent when I score 35+ points on T5 to sneak out a win.

The Boys? That show was good for one season before going to pot. Wheel of Time was garbage from the beginning. The Rings of Power was bad before the first episode aired. Reacher is a one trick pony that gets trotted out every episode to do the exact same thing it did last episode. Amazon, like other big companies in this industry, are incapable of creating something people want to watch. The death knell for a 40k show could be heard as soon as the partnership with Amazon was announced.

The Void Dragon has the highest potential reanimation total per turn in our whole army at a rather mental 4D3. 1D3 from Reanimation, 1D3 from Matter Absorption, 1D3 from a Reanimator, and 1D3 from a Technomancer. All possible each turn. Situational as hell, but utter madness if it comes off!

Cyberpunk edge runners, and the Fallout TV show, are great examples of how media that has good synergy with the quote unquote main product can massively benefit both parties. I think there's a knife's edge to walk between you're taking advantage of the new format, and innovating and expanding the story, and alienating people from the core of what people enjoy about a product. I don't think the Fallout TV show would have been as successful as it was if it was just a rehash of Fallout 4 or Fallout New Vegas, and it took a bold leap forward by dealing a major blow to a major player in the game story. But as you guys mentioned, I feel like the Halo TV show is a great example of that taken way too far. Definitely tricky, I really feel like you have to nail down what people actually enjoy about a setting, and make sure that is represented.

Not an S-tier strat, isn't worth playing Obeisance Phalanx for, but giving this guy a 5+ crit via the Enslaved Artifice stratagem is very funny. It only effects his Voltaic Storm but the look on my buddy's face when I said he can Crit on 5's now was priceless.
