His joke about picking “ten” as a marketing decision doesn’t work in this case. Ten is a psychologically satisfying number today, but it wasn’t back then. The reason why it is a psychologically satisfying number today is partly because of the Ten Commandments story. The reason why we have lists in tens like “The Ten Most Wanted” today is callback to the Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments are what popularised lists in tens in the first place.
