Watched them all, thank you .I own one of thee trucks and I'm about to go the same route and i know im going to be in for a lot of pain. Every time i work on it I wish I could go back to 96/97 line up every GM engineer and kick them in the nuts. It is beyond my how they could f===up something so bad. Plastic crap, spider injection in the manifold, plastic distributor and leaks, I have never owned anything that leaks like a vortec. I just changed the power steering lines well that was a treat and what is a EVO and why do I need one? when the motor comes out there will be a lot of deleting EGR EVO, O2 sensors, cats, all the useless plug in hose fittings just to name a few. I did enjoy the series and with the care and time you took I had doubt it was going to run good work
@ghostses2 күн бұрын
Glad you liked it! If you get a chance to line them up, give a few extra kicks for me! After my rebuild, nothing leaks other than the aftermarket oil cooler lines that connect at the oil filter. I still haven't addressed that, and don't know how, but it is what it is. Take care, G.

Now, that's a perfect review/tutorial! It's the only one I've found that's less than 2 years old. In fact, the majority was 3 years old or more. You've showed clearly that the Mini works as it comes now, using the right power source, angle, and pressure. The chinese did their homework. Thanks a lot for your time and great help. I'm just buying one from Ali tomorrow. All the best.

Glad it was helpful! I tried to show everything and I got great results for my intended project. You to have to learn the technique and what for your application. After you play with yours, let me know how it works out for you. Good luck and take care, G.

Loved your video, and I will give this stuff a shot. I saw another lady do this as well, with the same stuff, and it works well. I try to look for realistic honest videos, and your fits the bill. ( no flash, just facts) It came down to 2 products, I believe will work, and that's the Maquiars wheel cleaner, and Goo Gone, which has very good reviews. I'll buy both and see what works better. Your video is great, and believable. Have a question for you ? that is what should I use on the bottom of cabinets, where cooking oil etc. was stored on paper or cardboard at the bottom of cabinets. I can lift it slightly at the beginning, but don't want to get stuck halfway thru the job. Paper almost looks glued to the bottom of the cabinet. I was thinking Goo Gone, or Krud Kutter, or yes, maybe even oven cleaner. Something that would attack the grease and oils ? That oven cleaner is powerful stuff, and I've used it on many ovens. Stings. I doubt Oven cleaner would harm wood, it is powerful, but fumes, and stings hands. I'm a property owner like you, and took over the family home, and trying to get it into shape to put it up for sale. The bottom of "some" cupboards and under the sink, could be tough, but if you use the right stuff, some jobs can be easy. Thanks for this vid.
@ghostses13 күн бұрын
If you've seen another person using the same stuff, they got it from me and are trying to copy. I would love to have the link so I could watch it. The Goo Gone might work, but I can assure you- the product I outlined here will do well. But you have to make sure it won't hurt the cabinets or finish. Do NOT use Oven cleaner on the cabinets- period. It can remove the finish. Try this to saturate the paper or whatever is there, then try to lift it off. Be sure to rinse thoroughly. Goo Gone has its place, but pound for pound, this is way cheaper. Let us know how it works out, and provide as much detail as you can. Good luck and take care, G.

Thanks for the demo! I was thinking about using this on all the old hand tools I’ve inherited. Do you think it would affect the rubber grips?
@ghostses15 күн бұрын
I think it would more depend on the chemical that you choose over the ultrasonic aspects of it. Start with Dawn ultra dish soap, then go from there. Hope this helps, G.

Question- my oil holes on my factory roller lifters (2000 L31 350) are not oriented to the front or back, but instead the top or bottom? Did GM change the oil hole location on the newer models? I installed them with the oil holes to towards the heads/ bottom, thinking gravity would send oil to the lowest point first…… any input/ advice?
@ghostses24 күн бұрын
I looked them up, and it does appear the holes are in a different location. I shouldn't matter which way they face, but I would've installed them just as you did. Take care, G.

My 2001 RX300 jumps and clangs/bangs loudly if you put it under load in reverse. As long as you get on it lightly, no problem. The kicker is it started doing this 5-6 years ago and the tranny hasn’t failed yet, but I avoid putting it under load in reverse. I’m trying to see what part could be failed that allows this....?

I wouldn't know. I say, be gentle in reverse and just run with it. It might be a bearing. But again, I wouldn't know. Good luck, G.

Ugh not so amazing warranty I’m afraid…..after sending them pictures with my claim form and telling them I didn’t have my receipt any longer, FISKARS wants me to ship back a $20 item which would cost me at least $10 to mail..Would have been nice to have them offer a free return label to a 20 year customer, but no, they’d rather stiff the people who helped get them where they are. I tried to appeal asking for a goodwill replacement. No dice and no sympathetic response…..just basically return it and we’ll see.
@ghostsesАй бұрын
My warranty was great, but that was many years back. Sent them a pic of the broken item and they promptly replaced it. I paid zero dollars. I won't be looking for all your negative reviews, but mine was positive. G.

Hey buddy! Me again. Haven’t heard or seen anything from you in awhile so picked this old one to check up on you? Of course don’t forget to delete our conversations after we’re done…haha How are you and did the renovated house rental go ok? I’m fine. Had a triple a few months ago but ok now. Just finished building a desk for my son’s room. Waiting for it to warm up again around here (NC) then gonna ride the Harley for the first time for awhile woo hooo. What kind of stuff you been doing?
@ghostsesАй бұрын
What's up Mac. I/we are doing well. A triple? That's rough man. Glad you're doing well and are getting back to normal- whatever that is. Post the desk for your son so I can check it out. Oh, the Harley... I had one eons ago in my early twenties and did love to ride, but hung my hat up after too many idiots were out there trying to kill me.. I know you know what I'm speaking about. So, be safe out there. I have many videos I've recorded in the past year or so, but just haven't brought myself to edit and post. It takes more time then the projects and is a pain in the a.. Good to hear from you my friend. I do really appreciate you reaching out to see if I'm alright. Best wishes you you, you and yours. G.
@A_Litre_of_FarvaАй бұрын
You dumbass… as per a 1960 Chevy shop manual, it’s supposed to have a bit of dampness in there, keeps the pistons lubricated. So you are worried about nothing. If fluid drips out when you pull the boot back, then you have a problem.
