The novella is "Who Goes There?" by John W Campbell Jr. and the full length novel published in the 2000s from his set aside works is titled "Frozen Hell". Personally, "Who Goes There?" has the Carpenter atmosphere straight out. And, according to the Special Edition DVD, Macready was assimilated when he went up to his room "last night". He actually never came back from it, according to the storyboards on the DVD where the escaped dog kennel-thing assimilates him.

The Omen movies are a prophecy kind of movie franchise. As you can see each one steps it up. This is the same thing that Damien Leone is doing with the Terrifier movies. Starting with the official cannon start of Art the Clowns story. In Terrifier 2016 then going into Terrifier 2 an into Terrifier 3 an maybe Terrifier 4 if needed. To finish Art the Clowns story if he can't do it in Terrifier 3. Each movie shows a different part of the prophecy playing out. The Omen he gets adopted an begins his journey. Terrifier 2016 Art goes from being a normal human with nothing supernatural about him in any way shape or form. To at the end being resurrected back from the dead by a supernatural force in the morgue. Then an only then making him supernatural. This is part one of the prophecys playing out. Part 2. In The Omen 2 he starts his rise in power. In Terrifier 2 you see Sienna go from a normal human girl then she dies. Then gets resurrected by a supernatural Force to counter Art and the Pale Girl or clown girl. That's the 2nd part of the prophecy playing out in the movie. This shows that these kinds of movies prophecy movies have to be told. Across multiple movies to do them justice. Then yeas some of the nicest people in movies. Play the villains even if that character does horrible horrible things to people on screen. But off screen they are the complete opposite. If I remember correctly on one bonus feature one of them. Said something like its because they can take all of the native. Emotions then put it into that evil character then get it out of their system. Like Robert Englund said on bonus features he was pissed that he spent hours. Getting ready to make the Nightmare on Elm Street movie because of how long it took to get the. Special effects makup on so he channeled all of that frustration and anger into his performances as Freddy Krueger.

I like this series. I actually liked the remake with Liev Schrieber and Julia Stiles, although I admit it is mostly a straight remake and doesn't really add much beyond more modern visuals and acting choices. Plus, it was very cool to see a young Lance Hendrickson in this one (Bishop from Aliens, plus about a billion other things).

Everyone thinks it's a plot hole that John made a voodoo doll of himself. Keeping in mind that this isn't a completely faithful depiction of voodoo, the average person does not know if there are any other reasons/uses for a voodoo doll other than harm. In addition to that, it is possible that someone else made the doll and all John can do is protect it because any attempt to destroy the doll would cause his own desctruction. And if the latter is the case, it also stands to reason that part of his teachings to Chucky would include instructions on what to do if someone else makes a voodoo doll of you, as in care, storage, and necessary rituals. Given that John seems to despise Chucky's use voodoo, it would only make sense that at the time of instruction, John was unaware of Chucky's true nature, and thus trusted him. People forget that this is a religion to some and has only been made out to be evil due to racism and Christian bigotry. So John trusting Chucky with information about the voodoo doll would be akin to a priest sharing sensitive information with someone they trusted but shouldn't have. (It's difficult to give a more precise analagous example, but imagine a priest explaining to a thief where and how donations are stored because at the time he believes them to be a genuine congregant interested in becoming more involved in the church.)

20:19 The reason why Damien goes from shouting "WHY ME" to immediately accepting being the Antichrist in the next scene is because there was a subplot cut out where he got a girlfriend and had to choose between her and being evil. But since they cut that out him accepting himself is rushed.

This is one movie that absolutely TERRIFIED me as a kid. The scene with the raven, and the ending when Ann is revealed to be a Satanist....ugh it just messed with me. I absolutely loved this episode. John had Lemar as his voice of reason…to help him under the pressure being a Super Hero puts on someone. Sam & Bucky we’re giving him no help so he really just had Lemar The title of this episode is what Okoye says to T’Challa to stop him from murdering Klaw. In this moment as he is reeling from losing a brother to him…John doesn’t have anyone to pull him back…the parallels between this scene and Black Panther and the seeing how it plays out both ways is incredible

The Ghost Rider in the first movie was more comic book accurate. His skull is supposed to be white. This movie went with a special effects company that leaned more on practical effects rather than full CGI. I imagine the budget was lower for this one too. Yeah 120 million budget for the first movie which made 227 million and 57 million for the second movie making 149 million dollars. Nope no chemistry with the Devil's baby mama. So as much as I am a Ghost Rider fan...this one was a disappointment. 😢

One thing to keep in mind about the Ang Lee Hulk. The Director had his hands tied with regards to violence. He was not allowed to show the Hulk hitting people, throwing people or killing people. Which sucked a lot of the conflict out of the movie. Hence the reason the movie turned out as it did.
