CFA charterholders (those with relevant 4 year full time workex) are 5100 currently in India but CFA level 3 passed and unemployed are 4 to 5 times that number .. So many L3 passed people are roaming unemployed here

Sir I am a CFA Level II candidate writing my exam in Nov-2024 and also a student at FinTree. Professionally I am a Vice President working at Citibank in NYC into Credit Risk Management and Reporting. My question is post completion of CFA Level II, how difficult it is to switch careers from Credit Risk Management to Sell Side Equity Research or Portfolio Management or getting into PEs and VCs considering I am already working into mid-senior role?

Hi. I'm following your crash course, and I'm struggling with the exercise minute 55:38. I did the maths in the calculator and with the formula but didn't get the same answer. I got 3.949683532. I repeated it too many times, but I couldn't get the same answer as the calculator using the formula. Would it be possible if you prove this exercise using the formula, please?

Yes, concepts are mostly same. However 2024 has plenty of new additions. took me close to 15 -20 hours to record new crash course for FI.

well the curriculum does not have very broad coverage on that topic in 2024 curriculum (unlike 2023). Since it is a crash course, I have been trying to focus more on testable topics. I think we have a video (slightly dated but relevant) on KZfaq that deals with that topic. We do have coverage in the crash course on IS/BS/ CFS treatment of DB plans under IFRS/US GAAP. that's some messy business for the candidates, specially the IS part. Good luck for you exams. utkarsh
