Curious for education, when you used the positional lanyard and cups, why didn't you cover your lines from that leading edge until after you had the anchors in place?

In 6 years of experience i have used many different descenders, the Giant has become my favorite, for its durability, and performance in every aspect of how it worked. Very smoth on the descend, also with wet ropes.

0:26 Esa figura del 8 en la línea media me hizo pensar en usarla en una gran Y colgante en lugar de una mariposa alpina. Eso reduciría la pérdida de resistencia máxima a la rotura, ¿verdad?

No recomiendo ese nudo en ese rigging, cuando trabajas con el mariposa puedes darle ángulo y funciona correctamente, a diferencia de el 8 en línea, que la carga solo puede ser ejercida en la misma dirección que sigue la cuerda, no funciona correctamente si le das ángulo. Recuerda que cada nudo tiene un uso especifico.

@@maurotapia_ropeaccess¿Existen grilletes que puedan reemplazar los nudos de mariposa alpinos que reduzcan la pérdida de resistencia a la rotura? No he visto a ninguna persona que trabaje con cuerdas usando grilletes, pero un ingeniero me mencionó ese dispositivo.
