In fact, even if it is market as "Made in XXX", it might still being made in China. American or European company sometimes order the knife from OEM in China, had them shipped to America or Europe, then market the knife as "Made in USA" or "Made in Italy". I don't know which part is done in USA or Italy nor do I know if such business practice is legal in US or Europe.

@@mahtincho testing lock confidence in the way gives you an idea of how the lock will react when stabbing, doing tip work, or while cutting banding. Normal knife related uses than can put pressure on the lock. Much like how a slip joint works, you can't stab with them, have to be extremely careful in how you handle tip work, and when you cut banding the slip joint will fold. This lock gives you false confidence, it locks right? That is what I thought until I used it to cut some plastic banding off of a pallet, however the knife folded on me and almost bit me. I have only experienced this with a few knives in 30 years, 2 of them very recently with the Microtech MSI and this Tactile. Even comparing the Tactile Superlock to the $80 Chinese made Civivi Superlock (same lock) the Civivi holds up to multiple heavy strikes without failing. The Tactile is a faulty lock and it is not to be trusted. They released hundreds of these with this issue and have yet to recall them. Bad business

Tell me you don't know different knives are for different jobs without telling me you don't know different knives are for different jobs. I have $20 Smith and Wesson flip knife that has lasted me for a little over a decade with regular moderately-heavy use. I have to sharpen the blade every 2 weeks to a month, but there's literally (i mean literally in the literal sense) ZERO play between the blade and handle. I've literally stabbed steal belted tires over the years and the blade and handle are firmly in place as the first day I purchased it in a AutoZone store. Zero exaggeration. I even went back last month to see if they still sold the same model to buy another one because for a $20 knife, that was a deal! I was even singing praises about it to the AutoZone employee who I'm sure didn't give a damn. I also have a $150 S35VN alloy knife that could do a quarter of the heavy work the $20 knife can. What it can do better is hold an edge like hell, cut deeper, cut smoother, and cut like butter. Things the $20 blade _can't_ do. I'm not going to take my $20 knife as use it for the same jobs as my $150 knife and vice versa. If you're doing roof repairs and need a hammer, you don't bring a sledge hammer, or a rubber mallet, or a ball peen hammer. Well, you might. A little tip. *You use the right tool for the right job.* You'll find yourself doing a better job in anything and not looking like a space cadet.
