I am looking for more than a P.A.S., but can't spend $500 + on a D.S.L.R....I have heard great things about "bridge cameras"...I am mostly looking to photograph birds/wildlife in my backyard, and my three dogs...The reviews I have read on amazon etc...are great, for the price of this camera...would you recommend???? :O)

You should've bought the FujiFilm S1600. It's cheap and you don't need a steady hand and there's no slow focus in the FujiFilm S1600.. It's only around 7,100. Dude, no offense. I'm a filipino too. But, i'm a techie even if i'm just 12 yrs. old.. I'm always updated about gadgets. So, uhh, GE is just a rising camera product but FujiFilm is a LEGEND in camera products. Since the Film cameras, FujiFilm has been through that amazing camera times. So, no harsh feelings? /:)

I just got this camera from Walmart online for about $120. I cant wait to use it. The only thing I dont like about this camera is that it wont fit in my pocket.

where did you buy your tripod?

@saisai082093 it comes with a samya charger and a rechargeable batteries, imo the shutter lag is 1.8s, slow focus and a lot of noise, you need steady hand and patient
