They do go on sale more often. In fact, I was surprised when I was checking this guy out in Target and he was on sale for $3 USD off. I already wanted him over the SS because of lack of shelf space, but that sale price was just the cherry on top!

This one absolutely blows the SS out of the water for me: the alt mode isn’t hollow, the torso tabs together, the legs don’t just “do an Optimus Prime”, and he actually HOLD the Matrix! (And the Matrix is a unique shape, which is desperately welcome in the Age Of Laser Prime) The ONLY thing hurting this toy is its size. Idk why he’s so much smaller (proportionally anyway) than the other Prime Changers, but it’s what makes elements like the backpack mushroom peg so fiddly All it needs to be an A+ is the size, plastic quality, and improved joints of the SS Deluxe. But maybe the Deluxe can pull all that off because they made the transformation engineering more simple and straightforward (read: boring)?

I swear this looks more interesting than SS but maaaan here at Malaysia, this is more expensive than the SS??? So i got the SS instead, bigger and better value

I appreciate that the fun spirit of the Core Class continues on; some of those recent Core Class toys were pretty amazing. I wanna say, this version of Prime feels a little "cartoonier" than the Studio Series one, but the detailed head throws me off. I think it's the bright colors and smooth texture of the big red truck chest/shoulder pods. I like it, it'd be nice to see the other Prime Changers have a slightly "cuter" look to them.

Mad that they both have totally different headsculpts?? The prime changer looks a bit more ROTB but the details just don't match between it and the studio deluxe! I think I'll pick this guy up and just wistfully pine for the studio series feet, that's the only real upper hand it has over this that I can see

I wasn't expecting to end up buying any of the TFOne stuff, if only because it doesn't fit with the direction my collection seems to be going, but on a whim I grabbed Orion/Optimus to fiddle with as a (comparatively) inexpensive desk toy, and hot damn was I impressed. Next day I grabbed Sentinel, and just yesterday I snagged Bee, and they're all lots of fun.

I hope D-16/Megatron looks good.

The TFOne Warrior/Deluxe/Mainline equivalent line has honestly felt like such a step up compared to the Cyberverse or Earthspark equivalents. A little less articulation in some instances, but the plastic feels nicer and they're just more fun to handle.

I was shocked at how much nicer this one was and i actually love the studio series. Kinda wish we got the bronze plastic in this one. Everything else is fantastic.

Ive been trying to get back into collecting recently and while i like the robot modes for a lot of the tfONE figures that alt mode is ugh. Nothing will ever hit the same visual preferences that the highmoon designs did for cybertronian alt modes. And i gotta say the budget cuts on modern figures also just crushes me. I really want to have a figure of the new alpha trion but modern tf toys just have such a desaturated look to their plastics and paint. Makes me sad

You know, for a 'not-Deluxe-price-point-toy-but-totaly-looks-like-at-a-brief-galance' this Pax/Prime is good. This one feels fully cooked while the Studio Series feels undercooked. Granted the two lines are aiming for different meal budgets but my point remains. If I desire one after seeing the movie this might be the one I go for.

Well if Hasbro would have given wrist swivels and writs hinge been on similar ratchet joint that CW Dead End mold had and maybe head been not mouthplated, Prime Changer Optimus Prime/Orion Pax would have been even better but those would have been happy bonuses. It's bit funny how this has kinda upstaged the Studio Series figure. Though I'm curious to see how Prime Changer Megatron is gonna turn out and what other TF One characters might get toy from this line up.

To my knowledge, the only way you can get figures of Pax and D16 in their cogged forms is the Yolopark figures.

This new Prime Changer price point works SO MUCH better than the Warrior class from RID 15 and Cyberverse and also feels like a big step up from the Warrior and even Deluxe figures from Earthspark. You really get the feeling Hasbro finally found the right recipe for this kind of toys (simpler Deluxe figures for a younger demographic) and I hope that this design approach will continue after TF One had its run. Also, I really want to see Prime Changer Megatron and Elita, so we finally got the main cast together in that scale.

Picked this guy up on vacation in Germany and instantly fell in love with it. A solid, fun toy with a super interesting transformation that i love doing over and over again. All he really NEEDS is ankle tilts. Genuinely might be in my top 10 of the year.

I'm honestly looking at picking up this guy. I don't mind the colors of the SS, but, that one looks a little lumpy to me.

Huh, this turned out way better than the Studio Series...shame too the Studio Series had the potential to be so much better and just flipped over the finish line

these blokees kits are so interesting from the perspective of someone so used to gunpla- compared to the intricate plastic machinery of a master grade, that MG-sized piece has more in common with a RE/100 than anything, and even then it feels simpler. Between yolopark and blokees, this style of model kit (basically an action figure you have to put together) really does seem to be the future of TF model kits, with flame toys' furai model stuff serving as the "next step up" for anybody whose taste with these has them wanting more out of the experience.

Don't know has it yet announced but I predict this gets followed by Action Edition Megatron.
