The stop in middle of the cast to switch hands is why I use left handed reels. So much easier and being right handed I'd rather have the rod in my right hand to set the hook. Never understood why people use right handed reels and switch hands after casting

Thanks for being so detailed and putting effort into showing how to hook these baits. I am just now getting into fishing because my 4-year-old son enjoyed watching someone fish so much that I decided to get into it for him.

No reason to use the shaky head ...you can use a ned rig if you want a vertical presentation in open water ... anything else use a Texas rig

Do your brakes or anything on your reel have to be tightened down or loose when spooling braid to your bait cast reel?

Brother, if you hold the bass by the jaw like that there is a good chance it will break or dislocate its jaw, making it unable to feed and eventually die. Either support its body weight if you hold it horizontal or just hold it by the jaw and keep it vertical.

spinnning rods in deep sea and saltwater applications are more prominent because theyll take less damage to the saltwater, are easier to clean have less moving parts are more versatile when it comes to fishing styles there and you can target almost every fish with a spinning reel, they generally take 3or 4 screws to get into the gearings of them and spray some wd40 or pb blaster in it and then slap some vaseline in there and up in the inside the part the spool sits on top of. can be done in a few minutes vs a baitcaster requiring more work small pieces and precision, not to mention the uproar of chip baitcasting reels has been insane and they would be ruined quite quickly

Great video! Remember, contours and bottom features are “structure”. Brush piles, grass, docks - basically everything that’s not part of the lake bottom - are “cover”.

When I want to take just one rod. I take multiple reels with different lines and weights. And I simply change the rod. It can become a pain to cheange back and forth. But it is easier than dragging multiple rods. And of course the expense. You can use braid and do a leader like you said. But I try and avoid tying leader knots if I can. You can get pretty fast at changing reels. For me it is faster then tying a leader knot. And I don't have to worry about the leader knot breaking.

I was fishing a 2.75” tube on drop shot today-found they liked a sink/dead stick, pull, slack line sink to the bottom, then reel slack and dead stick-rinse, repeat. I was getting hits on the fall and the dead stick and nothing on the pull. A lot of drop shot retrieves tend to keep the lure swimming at a set height in the water column-but doing it this way allows for more of a feeding (or dying) baitfish presentation. Just something different.

1. My discount code "TRF" cuts down on the membership cost. 2. Every private place you fish has a fee, that's normal. Have fun with your guys sitting on your spots on a public lake after you spent $80 on truck gas and $100 on boat gas, just to catch a fish or two or get skunked. PWF is the way to go if you have some extra income and want to guarantee more good fishing in your life

I do totally understand people getting upset about their boats and docks getting hit. I cringe every time I do it. Like yeah they have it on public water…..but if I park my truck on a public street I wouldn’t appreciate someone peppering it with their lawnmower.

Great content you have helped me catch more bass and in turn I taught my sons what I learnrd from you Chatterbaits are our absolutely most deadly and consistently effective reaction bait up until the lake weeds up to much to use them but until that time they are absolutely bass magnets when the bass are looking for a more subtle presentation but still a little noisy I use Willowchatters and these are just awesome because thay dart in different directions more dramatically than a full sized chatterbait

Tyler, what you feel does not catch fish. Chicks feel. Men think with logic and reason. Lose the word "feel" from your vocabulary please. It instantly takes your credibility to down. And, you know when you go into a bait and tackle store like Bass Pro and see all those pretty lures of all shapes and sizes, guess what? They all catch fish. All of them. All those pretty shapes and sizes are NOT for catching just the fish. Its to catch the fishermen and their dollars. You waltz in and look around and buy what YOU want and then pretend to tell us you "feel" its also what the fish want when we all know those fish will hit on just about anything that moves that they can eat and think is a good easy quick meal for them. Being an expert fisherman is not telling us how you feel. Most men out here do not give a dam about your feelings. Show us an expert bass fisherman who can catch bass on just about anything. Give it a try sometime. You will learn that bass down on the bottom where the light is so low they can't tell one color from the next or even what shape something is will bite on them all. Just sayin'...you can up your game by not getting locked into one lure and one color and telling us what you feel about it. And you did not make it 13 seconds into this video to jump right into how you feel. Not very persuasive there... more like a chick argument tactic more than anything else. If you love me you will DO what I say. Feelings always lead one astray. Always. Talk to us guys about logic and reason to why you do what you do. Leave the feelings at home. ADDED- I've been bass fishing since the late 1960's long before you were even thought of. I have rubber worms dating back to the 1980's like the culprit and Mann's Mannipulator. I would bet you I could whip out some 40 plus year old Mannipulators and keep up with you and maybe even catch more fish than your rubber slug there. I prefer less rubber for easier hook sets. I don't use bulky thick rubber lures. You could cut that sucker in half and still catch fish. Can I tell you how I feel now? Ha!

Great video as always. My top two favorite tip water are 6th sense dogma 100, and the only buzzbait I throw is made by nates custom baits it's a hybrid buzzbait in the sense that it has buck hair along with the scurt and my favorite part it's inline. not like a standard buzzbait where there is a bend to the wire.

Yep, all you right handed casters learn to cast AND reel with your same hand, so you can fight the fish with your non-dominate arm!😆 Makes as much sense as a baseball pitcher who makes the pitch, then puts the glove on the same hand!🤡

@@TylersReelFishing Everyone that has a voice in the industry has free FFS and/or a contract with an electronics company. Even the tours and media. This is not by accident. The industry is bought and paid for which prevents discussion on the future. This reminds me of golf, where technology is obsoleting classic courses and making the game less interesting. The governing bodies of golf ( R&A, USGA) try to rein it in, but with limited success due to the powers of equipment manufacturers that like selling $600 drivers. I hope the fishing industry powers get control before fishing becomes a video game. Remember, FFS is only the beginning, it will get MUCH more powerful over time.
