I needed a Symmetrical pearl and got a Trouble Maker Pearl (don't know why) but I'm beating myself up cause i should have gotten the Summit Peak. Should i sell the TM for the Peak???

@@luckeyboy33 as a Storm rep, I will always stand behind my brand over the others. I will say it could be a layout or surface issue. If a surface change doesn’t help, then yes, I would go and try a Summit Peak.

Thanks for doing that one. Without being able to throw all these balls and sometimes with the numbers being close ish it's hard to tell how they will roll. I find it really helpful to see not just one but two next to each other like that to have a comparison.

I am more rev dominant and i am bowling on the amf lanes. do you think in your opinion that the Xponent Pearl would be good in like game 3?

If you were to want to get the Attention Star back to factory finish would you go 1500 polish. If so what brand of polish? I personally use CTD’s polish. Storm likes to say Reacta Gloss finish but that doesn’t tell us what’s underneath the polish 🤷♂️

@@shanenorthrop1969 500-1000 then you can ReactaGloss or light 1500 and then the polish. What to remember is that the oil is still in the cover. So resurfacing will never get it back to exact original, just make sure you always clean it and take care of it after each time you use it to ensure its longevity.

I'm a senior league bowler and have the Attention Star. I've been struggling with it during open bowling, so much so that I don't use it for league. Not sure if it's me, lane conditions or something else. It either hooks too much or not enough. I finally made the decision to knock the Recta Gloss shine off with a 3000 pad and it made a huge improvement. It seems smoother, much more forgiving and consistent. This was my first time adjusting a ball's surface. What's frustrating for me is that I don't fully understand why the 3000 pad made an improvement or what it means to me and my game/style. Thoughts?

For me the attention star I use on sport patterns not house shot. Bit but by adding surface the ball will hook sooner on the lane and roll out, so it will look smoother not sharper

@@BigB_62 the shinier a ball, the more violent of a reaction you’re going to get. The shiny surface delays the use of energy until later down the lane where many of the inconsistencies you speak of come into play. By adding surface, the ball is reading earlier and not waiting as long to utilize that energy, giving you a more consistent reaction. I actually have a video from a few weeks ago showing the difference in surface changes on the Attention Star!

I've found with my rev rate and slower speed down lane, the BRY has been very forgiving as it seems to have more at the later part of the lanes, even when I'm missing some. I find it a pleasure to roll.

Pops here. When you say move right or left, can you say what board you are starting at. It's hard to see where you start and since you loft we really cant see the angle of your start to where the ball hits the lanes. Great video. Thanks

I’ve been eyeing the RIP for a transition ball from the Optimum. But since I’ve increased my rev rate this summer, I’m not sure if the RIP is a good move and maybe wait for the Optimum Pearl. Also have been looking at the Hitter Pearl, but I’m not sure if I’m understanding rev rate’s impact on roll correctly. I know when I throw the Hustle Wine now, it goes longer than before when my rev rate was lower. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Keep up the good work.

@@ScottAndersonBowling Thanks. I'll keep that in mind. My house shot doesn't seem to break down to the point I need a Hustle. I'm using the Optimum Idol as my benchmark, but it has trouble game one getting to the pocket, even when I increase my revs and slow down the ball. Any suggestions as to a big ball to start with? I'm thinking something like a Widow 3.0 just to move the oil for the Optimum Idol. Thanks.

Great informative video. Knowing what ball to use and when to switch is always a struggle for me. I'm a senior league bowler and only have three balls, not counting a spare ball. I have the Attention Star, Xponent and Hustle USA. I pretty much always start with the XP and go from there.

What balls would you put in the same class as the Exotic Gem/Reality Pearl? I currently have an Attention Star, and Effect as my strong left hand turn balls. I really like the shape you have on the Gem but fear its too similar to the two balls I mentioned.

@@rhegafd hm….that’s a great question. The reason I drilled an Exotic Gem specifically for nationals was because of how unique of a shape it makes. So asking me what else would fit in that class is kind of difficult, it’s so unique. Maybe if it was another brand of ball, I could say like an Outer Limits Pearl? But even then, I think these roll up sooner and are more specialized.

I think a lot of people complain about how Storm brings out new balls and discontinues other that compete with the new stuff. In reality though they are listening to feedback and giving us the equipment we want with improvements and changes to what we don’t like. Isn’t that exactly what they should be doing? I think it is. They don’t discontinue stuff that sells because that means people like it. It’s good business and good for the sport. They try and make exactly what bowlers are looking for without telling us what they think we want.

Love your video's. I was wondering what is your ball speed? Off the hands or on the score monitor? I been laying them out closer to you layout specs and it seems to roll really well.

@@evosti10 my ball speed does vary quite a bit. I throw anywhere between 16.5-18.5 MPH depending on what’s called for. To be safe though, I’m usually in the 17-17.5 range.

@@zackoakes6382 it seemed like it, but I believe that could’ve been due to the layout. When I got to the correct part of the lane where it wasn’t burning up too quick, it looked better.

Probably was due to where he was playing it in relation to his rev rate. Huge strong cores can be too much and face toward the 3 pin inside of 15-20 when playing a bit more angle. Its all a balance game.

Scott, the Ion Pro does not throw itself down the lane and strike. The reason for 32 strikes and 826 lies in the hands of YOU the bowler. Great job and keep it up!

Hey Scott, great video! I currently have a pin down Ion which I love but I'm tempted to get another one and go pin up, to use when i need to move abit deeper in. But I'm sure whether to or not lol I know it's not black and white but do you think I'd see much of a difference?

@@MrHerbster28 I can see a difference in the way it exits the pin deck for sure. If you want more of a gap and noticeable difference, I’d consider going with something like an Attention Star to move left and wheel it.
