A mí me parece una imagen llena de amor. Esta imagen común entre la juventud de nuestro tiempo hace muy real lo vivo que está nuestro amado Bach en nosotros. Todos nosotros somos contemporáneos de la imagen y no de los días de Bach. Pero su creación, su música, anda recorriendo un sin fin de imágenes, de tiempos y de seres humanos. Ojalá siga descubriendo muchas nuevas generaciones...❤

I have heard EVERYONE perform these concertos. And while each pianist brought something unique to their interpretations, none of them can compare to these extraordinary and sublime performances by Angela Hewitt. She’s just on another level all her own. If anyone here loves Angela’s performances of Bach, I would strongly encourage you to listen to her interpretations of the Toccata in C minor and the Goldberg Variations. The latter she performs in Bach’s church in Leipzig, and it is a very emotional experience. ❤

Bach despido este viernes y acojo la llegada de este sábado 22 de junio, día que guarda acontecimientos importantes y esperados para personas muy cercanas y muy queridas a mi corazón. Esta música lo acompaña para arroparlos con mis mejores deseos para todos ellos, para todos sus parabienes y desearles todas las bendiciones. Greetings from Canada! I am a 62 female, struggling with a rapidly changing and imo, declining world. I was fortunate to come across this a few weeks back. My peaceful place. The music stills my crazy anxiety. But something else. Please don't be offended. None intended. I love this photo! I am of the Charlie Brown generation. In my minds eye, I see Schroeder at his piano. Muchas gracias Miguel! Es un gran disfrute escuchar el violín interpretando una música que, como a Odette, me viene con el clave a la cabeza. Ya he leído la información que le has escrito a ella y conozoco la posibilidad de que la partitura original fuera para violín. Me imagino que con la amplitud enorme de nuestro amado J. S. Bach abrazaría las miles de posibilidades a las que pueden llegar sus composiciones. Te agradezco el que nos traigas esta interpretación de Kavakos con su violín. En algunos pasajes me suena muy cerquita de las sonatas para ese instrumento. Bellísimo. Un abrazo y hasta la próxima 🌹🎶🌹

Kavakos is good in Bach....crisp articulation, brisk tempos, and avoiding that cold mathematical precision of "sticking precisely to the score" which Bach himself would have scorned. Maybe I prefer Sato or Vilde Frang, but this is also very good Bach.

brisk tempi indeed............some performers seem to feel it's a race to the finish , trying to "correct" the often lugubrious , romanticized interpretations of the mid=XXth century..............just my opinion , of course......... as i typed the adagio echoed my comment on older versions, going unexpectedly schmaltzy..........ah well , not to my taste , but to each his own ..........

My late father used to say that "too slow" is never the best in an interpretation, as it can potentially interfere with the flow and the cogency of a work.

Hola, Odette! Así es. La partitura del 1052 nos llegó para clavecin, pero muchos piensan que el original era para violin. Aquí hay una reconstrucción: bwv 1052R. Un cordial saludo y hasta la próxima.
