Thanks for posting this! Love that they brought up videodiscs. I still have thousands of LaserDiscs, including a small pile of DEVO releases (and Human Highway of course).

I personally think that many of these doom style bands don't offer much in originality and should sit back and listen to all of the original Black Sabbath vinyls and Messiah Marcolin era (Candlemass), plus Thor's Hammer (Runhild Gammelsatr), High on Fire, Pentagram, etc. Probably the audience is so stoned on something, they'll listen to anything.
