Why is there so much focus on EVs when some research suggests that lifecycle emissions of EVs are comparable and more than ICE's in some cases. The battery manufacture is purely the culprit and till we find sustainable alternative battery technologies, we must not push everyone to EVs just yet. Strengthening our public transportation network, encouraging people to share cars etc might be some ways to address the issue in the short term.
