No we just used Grab to get everywhere it’s not that expensive. And driving in Bali would be a challenge as it gets pretty crazy at times.

Looks great! From what you’re saying about service - I think Marriott should collect Guests’ preferences in terms of service. I prefer very low touch service, so for me it sounds great😅

Josh, you should one time come to Washington DC, and stay at the JW Marriott Washington DC. It’s a really great and decorative hotel!

I actually stayed there back in 2020, it is a nice property but had no facility’s open as only at 4% occupancy that time. My favorite hotel was the W Washington DC which is now Hotel Washington, so sad it left Marriott.

Great reviews Josh. Have liked and subscribed. You also reviewed The Mitsui in Kyoto. We are planning a trip next year to Japan to include Kyoto. Although you like both hotels, on balance which has the edge for you? We can’t decide which one to book! A personal opinion I know but nonetheless would appreciate your opinion here. Many thanks

Yeah, except around the hotel is homeless tents, crazy meth heads, and crime. Not safe after dark around there! Portland went to hell post covid. Thanks mayor Wheeler!

I know its not a 'suite' but for me I would want to see at least two sofa chairs to sit in in the evening. The table and chairs don't quite do that and so guests will be forced to sit or lie on the bed. Taking a little bit of the bathroom space might have made extra space to allow for two sofa chairs or even one two seater but nice room and especially at night.

You're a very good judge and you take everything in. Regards the Ritz Carlton I agree with the ratings but for me the living room looses a point due to how narrow it is but other than that. Interesting that rooms in Australia cost less than half per night for more or less the same, if not more, floor space. Would have liked a little more night views especially from inside of the hotel.

Avoid the JW Phu Quoc! Just an FYI, but do the Regent there! The king beds in Intercontinental Bangkok could got 6 people. So odd! Did you notice any of this in hotels there?

JW or Joseph? Did you do the pools at both? Heard the Joseph pool closes early? Looking for a more refined crowd. Doing reviews on a lot of hotels in Nashville…prim a picky girls perspective lol 😂 the One would be perfect if they had individual toiletries and a pool

I guess you will also be staying at Alila Villas Uluwatu, Alila Ubud, W Seminyak, Bulgari Resort , St Regis Nusa Dua, and the Ritz Carlton Nusa Dua?? Did I get most of them correct? Nice review, I would have dinged them harder for not greeting you, totally unacceptable, as Bali has some of the best customer service I have experienced anywhere. On your last video in this series about Bali, you should let us know what property you enjoyed the most, especially if some of them tie for 20/20 scores. The customer service at the St Regis should be leaps and bounds above your stay at Alila Seminyak. Enjoy one of the most beautiful places on earth! Also, I hope that you were able to experience the brunches at the top resorts, they are simply incredible, especially at the St Regis, are they pricey, yes they are, but totally worth it.

I'd like some advice if that's quite alright? I have Conrad Bali booked but I am considering this. I paid 900 euro for Conrad Bali for 4 nights. I can get this one for 1050. Both with breakfast. Any help would be appreciated. If i can be cheeky, what's your opinion regarding Alila Ubud. Currently that's 800 euro for 3 nights. I got The Lokha booked for 350. Massive difference. Can't seem to decide. Thanks

Thank you and yes to all except we didn’t stay at W or St. Regis. They haven’t been renovated in a while and rooms specifically did not look up to my desires. I hope to make an overview review at the end of all 7 hotels if I have time:)

The Conrad looks just as nice and the rooms are more modern so I might keep that one. But I didn’t stay there this time. As for Alila Ubud, I did stay there the standard rooms are small and not that great. We upgraded to like treehouse room, villa which is way nicer. The best feature is the pool, probably my favorite non-city hotel pool in the world now.

Both of those properties rooms looked too dated for me. After either renovate then I’ll stay at W at St. Regis.
