Carol bought a great deal of humor to this world through her career, but this and the Family skits were her Magnum Opus. It seems every comedian has a serious aspect to their works and this is serious theater that depicts familial dysfunction with a precision that likely hits closer to more people's lives than they'd like to admit. When they performed these scenes, they ceased being Carol, Vicky, Harvey, Ken & Betty. They BECAME Eunice, Mama, Ed, Phil & Ellen. It's as if they truly existed as this family. Incredible work & I only hope it lingers on through time.

I think at least once a year I stumble on this and watch it again. It's both hilarious and heart-breaking. You can tell that Carol Burnett really cared deeply for her character Eunice Harper-Higgens.

Shame on Phillip's family. They are so stupid to see how much he has accomplished. Phillip you wasted your time with people who does not care. Eunice was blind to see how hard Phillip worked for his success.

Shame on mama. It seems like she never supported her kids dreams. Applaud to Phillip for doing what he wanted to do. Even with his success mama did not show enthusiasm.

This strays so far from the original canon that I'm sorry I watched it. As a standalone it works, but it ignores what happened on "Mama's family" and Ken Barry's character completely. What would've repaired it all was if Eunice moved to Hollywood, changed her name to Carol Burnette and became a success.

This whole masterpiece is a jolting roller-coaster ride of emotions. Highest of highs, lowest of lows. I've always felt partial to Eunice for some reason. I always felt she settled for less because she didn't have the self-esteem needed to propel her foward in life. This piece also subtly touches on mild verbal abuse from family members. Eunice seems to be the main punching bag for the whole family. See how Mama treats the other 2 siblings with affection, expecting nothing but the best for them? Whereas Eunice is the "disappointment" of the family, and is made to feel as such. But in the end, she is the spit and glue of the whole family dynamic. Spectacular acting from ALL cast members, here. Thank you for this nostalgic show piece!

I would say, no. This came before the series. They changed quite a bit for the series. This was definitely more of a Dramedy than Comedy.

I value your perspective and content!!depending on this current administration is a total failure I really have a question For someone with less than $15,000 to invest, how would you recommend we enter the crypto market? I am at studying some traders and copying Ashish Shah strategy rather than investing myself and losing money emotionally what's your take on this approach?

I feel investors should be focusing on under-the-radar stocks, and considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises of plummeting stocks which were once revered and i don't know where to go here out of devastation.

Thou I gave Ashishshah trade a try with a very low sum of £2350 because I was so scared but it all went good☺💯 I have seen a lot testimonies about him on different platforms and i thought it was all made up stories until I gave a try and it was of no regret..

😂 Reality of how people have two sides. Children are taught hypocrisy at a very young age. They become little actors. They do what we do not what we say. We must have harmony in and out of the home so the children may thrive in life. American Families need New Beginnings. These children are crying to be loved by their parents and loved ones. Many of them lost grandparents who were the foundation. Now there is violence in these homes since the peace keepers new residence is in heaven. Pray for the youths who are dealing with these emotional traumas giving up hope. Unfortunately, this is the time that these young mourners are influenced by gangsters. True villagers are needed in every city, with churches becoming nursing parents. Believers responsibility is to care for these groups: widows, fatherless, motherless, prisoner, poor and needy and the afflicted. This is completely separated from the government because this is God's government. It is the churches that must install the government in the Book of Isaiah 9. God is a great problem-solver. We are ready to become Mothers Helpers for public school children, with Merit incentives promoting literacy and leadership. 🇺🇸🙏

I’m the youngest of four daughters. I graduated college, including 9 months of school in France, and served 11 years in the USAF, including 3 months in Saudi Arabia. My three older sisters married right after high school graduation and had children. They mocked me when I left for college, said I wouldn’t make it. Did the same when I joined the military. All they did was fortify my determination to make something of my life. It takes willpower and self-actualization to turn away from the trappings of home and set your mind on greater heights. Don’t expect everyone to understand or support you. But don’t let them hold you back or give you excuses for not moving on. It’s your life! Live it!
