Nice speaker strobe! Looks to be a 2001 model, the 2000 models look older due to the Simplex logo being raised all the way up and the font and brightness of the Fire lettering. Strobe really doesn't seem all that bright.

Even though I like how 757’s look outside, i think est should have kept the 792 design for outdoor use. Also one thing about the 792 is you can get a trimplate for them so you won’t need a backbox extension

That mode is for backwards compatibility with older addressable NAC systems. If you had an old truenac system is a truealert addressable controller for example, and an old alarm died, you can replace it with an ES and have it work as a direct replacement

@@josephfrye7342 horn strobe what is happening the addressable line is suppressing the sound trying to make sure no unofficial power Is imputed however if Legacy NAC mode was turned off the power would be fully suppressed

00:24 Yeah right because AC powered devices can get hot easily when they're laid on flammable/combustible materials and not installed in walls or ceilings But yes that was pretty funny and ironic that you said because this fire alarm model number can start a fire as it went from alerting you over a fire to starting a fire which is very funny and ironic LOL 😆 and that the pull station is the start a fire/self destruct lever

@@dantestoner6020 But they somehow knew I was watching this. I only take fire alarms as part of my tech hobby. I'm not a collector at all, it's just basic computer stuff and these Truealert ESs are the only fire alarms I actually care about collecting because they're more "intelligent" in a way than the standard Spectralert or Wheelock device.

Definitely Simplex but from what I have read SpectrAlert Classic devices are compatible with FWR looking at the documents
