Hubby and I did pikes peak a week ago, i drove up, he drove down! What amazes me is the bicyclists making it all the way to the top, its hard to breathe because your oxygen level is decreased being at high altitude ,I salute them ! All the hairpin turns with no guardrails can be a bit terrifying, just dont look down while driving , keep eyes on the road at all times ! A bicyclist was disoriented near the top he was zigzagging and then finally got his bearings, was scary to watch , yikes ! Beautiful breathtaking view at the top, glad we did it !

The nubble...myself and older brothers paper route in late 60s early 70s. ( portsmouth herald) rain , snow , noreaster etc we did it...used to put newspaper in wooden box connected to the lighthouse by pully wires and send it over. Every kind of mainer on our route..kind , grumpy..cookies and cocoa..even a happy Bassett hound who was struck by lightning and it broke his tail ..looked like a hockey stick. .so fat they made a little cart for his weenie so it no longer dragged on the ground and bled ..attached to his doggie vest . Before anyone ever put clothes on dogs .BOOZER was his name. Sweetest older couple on first turn of nubble rd coming from long sands .we lived at 8 nubble rd . What a place to grow up..wow. back then when labor day came..tumbleweed Tuesday was actually tumbleweed Tuesday. Tourist and summer residents GONE for the season. Thriving to ghost town in 1 day lol . Could go on and on..anyone remember the chalet..huge mansion about half a mile up nubble. Former governor house so it was said. It's garage across the street ( 2 story house) is still there converted to a home..but unchanged.

Nice video. How long did it take from Blanding to Hanksville? Is it paved all the way? The remoteness is a little intimidating. The thought of potential car problem in the middle of no where is a scary thought. But, I am planning to take this road instead of I-70 in 2 weeks on our way to Bryce from Moab.

I see this was made in 2020, and traffic seems really minimal. Is it like this now? I have to drive from sarasota to pensacola but have extreme anxiety about 75. Also are there rest areas on this route. Thank you.

@@margaretventure352 hi! No rest areas. You'll hit plenty of traffic during rush hour for the first few miles north of the airport. Other times of the day, it's not bad at all. And once you get out of Tampa, it usually flows pretty well

I love the Georgia Coast. I like the fact that most of it hasn't been developed and is still natural unlike much of Florida's east coast. Good video.

Thank you so much for this video. I have to drive from Kalispell to Great Falls next week. I've never been to Montana, and I'm deathly afraid of mountainous roads with no guard rails and I was afraid it would be like that through the park. This video helped me SOOO much!

Been on this road many times from Forest Grove to tillimook. Alot of great camping spots along the way. The Hwy used to go around that big rock. Very narrow back in the 70s a lot of car parts at the bottom of the ravine. We called it dead man's curve.

At 1:41; the first left turn after the bridge has a nasty left turn (making a 180 from the bridge) to do even at moderate speeds, and if I remember correctly there's a sharp right turn soon after... fun. ;-) At 1:48; What was that, a sprinkler? At 2:18; at one time there was a rail line (I can't remember for what?) running down 16th avenue than turning right onto Nob Hill Blvd (I can't remember if the line also continued on 16th ave?)? At 2:59; the "Arctic Circle" (on the left), I believe sold a lb of fries for $1 in a sealed thermal bag. The Eisenhower Sr High School (turn right on 40th ave) A.V. instructor would send a student there for a bag of fries so any remaining students, not on duty could share. At 3:48; sometimes I'd walk to the airport and watch the planes take off, one day an F4-Phantom took off at full afterburner... awesome!

Well this video was a disappointment. We saw the road. But there was no getting out of your vehicle at several good view points up to the Bears Ears to pan the panorama. And what was the point of positioning your vehicle at the various viewing areas and not showing any of the natural bridges ? Too far to walk to them perhaps ? However I did enjoy the other video from Blanding to Hanksville.

Hi. I'm from NSW Australia. I drove that road in the same direction way back in 1993. I think I remember that the long straight road out to Hanksville was a gravel road back then. Your videos would be greatly improved if you sent up a drone to maximum height allowed for a 360 deg scan. Check out what Russ of RVerTV does in his road trip videos. Anyway, I've subscribed to yours. Well done.
