Thanks Greg for overview, will check out your other vids. I like that you took time to show mounting, lots of other people ignore that stuff but good to include in video. I have a couple of electrical kits and a trigger pad from another brand but someone new to pads might have wondered about the mounting 🏴

The AI lays probably first and foremost in the connection between the session instruments. And the drummer may set the style of music for the other instruments, especially the bass. When playing complicated chords, riffs, and scales in different styles, it probably needs some AI to be in the ballpark. But yes, it should come with some in depth explanation.

They both sound great but when it comes down to what one can verse the other its hands down EZKeys 2…THat thing is totally amazing..I dropped all my midi chord packs in that thing along with tons of other midi I use and it is exceptional compared to anything else that does this chord generation stuff…….E ZKeys is simply the absolute best thing out there if you are looking for anything like that…..

Luna sounds better than any DAW I ever heard. I just downloaded it a few days ago and tried it out yesterday for the first time. I produce in FL, and use PT for tracking Vocals and mixing. It's similar to protools as far as shortcut keys so it was pretty easy getting around in it. I love FL for the soft saturation inherent in the DAW, but LUNA has that warm creamy sound. It makes plugin emulations sound like the plugin companies advertise. Great for mixing and Summing for sure especially for anyone who owns an apollo.

Logic's piano had more depth, so I would have chosen it in productions where the piano should be more prominent, and EZ Keys in productions where the piano should be more in the background if I had both. As a Logic user, I wouldn't mind buying EZ Keys just for the piano sound, but it is a good tool and a good supplement to Logic's session player (or vice versa). The final answer to the question is Logic's Piano.

I guess this could be really useful for all the session players in terms of following certain rhythm patterns. Like a piano boogie-woogie or bass patterns. Man, those initial "meh" videos about Logic 11 are just in the DUST! 😆

Great list. Now that Logic 11 has been out a while, you might have new wishes? The focus is definitely on beginner songwriting tools, rather than pro features for studios. I get it. Apple wants to attract new DAW users where there’s competition from Ableton, Cubase and others. More Logic users = Apple Mac & iPad sales. But I’m thinking about how to draw Protools users to Logic. What does Logic 11 offer them?
@gregkocis3 сағат бұрын
Indeed think logic is a lot more virtual instruments and now songwriting tools built-in

Another mystery to me if why Ujam V guitars are limited to 1 stomp box at a time? I’m trying Guitar Rig 7 as an audio FX to sound model multiple stomp boxes. Keep expecting Ujam to upgrade their guitars to allow multiple stomp boxes plus finisher. It’s in there…

Great video, Greg! I’ve been an NI Session V Guitar guy but recently tried the Ujam guitars. The instrument mode is special and while NI emphasis is on patterns, I like the openness and control of instrument mode. Player mode defaults the key switches from C0 - F5, but who has a midi controller as low as C0? Most of us have a 61 key controller, but I see your key switches start at C1. I like how your demos always include a bit of a composition with drums and other instruments! Gives me insight into your fav VSTs. Are you suggesting the Ujam bass and drum instruments are sharing the chord progressions you played in Sparkle? I don’t think so - you’re just playing a bass pattern, right? Interesting to use Logic 11 Session tracks and sub in the Ujam guitars to pickup the global chord track - if that works…

Hey Greg - you are digging up some nice things about the session players and the chord track. Did you know if you create a new project, then assign relevant sections in the global arrangement track (intro, verse, chorus, bridge, etc…), and then add session players that they then play each section differently - and in keeping with the structure ? 🤯

I just download the free version today the truth is the DAW is free which is the core of the Luna and if you download the free version and within the 30 days period you can activate all the plugins they selling for free so within that 30 days period in the Manage section you can activate and play any demo with full plugins then after 30 days you buy or use your own plugins it does support VST 3 which you can get some good ones free by searching for free VST plugins here on youtube or on the web.

Greg, I have downloaded and installed it it doesn’t add any value to my setup whereas Logic Pro 11 is now so good why should I use this and buy extra plugins and it’s not even a daw. Harisson mixbus in my opinion is a better option.
